The problem I'm having is I can't stand the mineral/vitaminy smell and taste it's horrible and when I drink them they make my tummy hurt will I eventually be able to get my Protein from food?

So you had surgery Monday too how are you feeling pain wise and are you having trouble getting Protein in?

I had surgery Monday and I came home last night and I'm wondering if I'm supposed to start my gummy vitamins? I started my ppi today so I think they said start both but I was really out of it yesterday!

I'm the same as you I can't stand broths or sf Popsicles Soo all week I've been living off water and Gatorade but I've lost 14 lbs in 4 days Soo I guess it's working, but I would be fine if I didn't feel hungry boo!! :/

So since we are all this week coming up what were your pre-op diets that your surgeon gave you mine has been 1 week liquid diet, and it's been pure hell just because I hate feeling hungry!

I am Monday too :/ I'm just ready to get it over with!! congrats we will be starting a new chapter of our lifes!!

I'm June 13th also and I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 in the morning!! I'm excited and nervous but I think that this is a blessing and it's more dangerous being overweight and getting all the diseases that go along with being overweight then the risk of a complication!!

I use the Livestrong calorie tracker it let's you put your food exercise starting weight goal weight how many lbs you want to lose per week and how many calories you should be eating to lose that many lbs a week! I am pre op still my date is June 13th!! Apps are awesome lol!

Itching is good it means your incisions are healing! When I had my gallbladder out they itched liked crazy!

I felt pain like that because of my gallbladder and had to have emergency surgery to remove it! Hope you start feeling better!

I did get my date it's June 13th I start my pre-op diet on 5/31!!

Finally after a year I found out just now that I have been approved! I'm so ecstatic!!!! just had to get it out there!

Oh yes got my date today June 13th everything is finally coming together and quite quickly! Couldn't be happier!!

I'm using Dr. Barker the insurance is still pending right now so everyone hope for the best ive been thru a year of doc supervised diet!! I've also heard Dr Kim is very good!!

Hello all I haven't posted any questions on here but I have been reading for several months!! My paper work was submitted to my insurance, and I find out that they didn't approve it because I have to have 12 months of attempted weight loss but the dr who was going to do the vsg said bcbs only requires 3 months. So now I'm sad I was hoping to be scheduling my surgery. I've had an active membership at curves for 14 months and a 6 month doctor supervised diet so is there not anyway for my 14 months of working out to be my proof of attempted weight loss? Or do I have to do another 6 months of dieting and waiting? Any advice would help!!
