Hey Everyone, Just had a quick question. I was sleeved on the 25th and still seem to be having a lot of gas pains. I constantly feel like there's a big air bubble in my chest and sometimes it hurts after I swallow some liquids. Ive been trying to do a lot of walking and it seems to help a bit. Is it normal to still be having gas pains at almost a week post op? Is anybody else experiencing anything like this?

Hey everyone, Im in the exact same boat! It feels good to know that others are going through the same thing I am. I was sleeved on the 25th and am 6 days post-op. I feel really bubbly and gassy in my tummy. I get a pain on my left side of my breastbone and sometimes feel like I swallowed a big bubble of air. I was just going to ask if the gas they pump you up with is supposed to hang around this long. I hope it will go away soon. I was able to eat some yogurt this morning and it was soooo yummy. I tried some smooth cream of wheat this afternoon and it was a no go! I cant wait to start on more mushy foods. Hope everyone gets feeling better soon!

Congratulations on your new little tummy! I got sleeved on the 25th. I completely understand what your saying about burping. Ive had a hard time getting in all my liquids. But keep working on it! Sounds like you are doing great! Keep up the great work!

I am also a January 25th sleever. Sounds to be completely normal to me. Also are you opening your prilosec and dumping them in your liquids instead of swallowing the whole capsule? My tummy is very sore, theres lots of air and gas and hunger pains. Hopefully in a week or two we'll be feeling much better! Hang in there everyone!

Hi Everyone, So im 4 days post-op. I had my surgery the 25th. I had a hard time in the hospital even getting clear liquids down. The moment they pulled my JP drain I was back in business. I am feeling better with drinking but still finding im having some pressure and lots of bubbles when swallowing. Im pretty sure its related to gas. I didnt really pass a lot of gas in the hospital and now im really feeling it back home. Anyone else feel lots of pressure/bubbles? How long did it take for your gas to go away? Hope everyone's doing great!

Congrats on your surgery. I guess that would make me only 3 days post op. Getting a little ahead of myself there. haha. I have started on my Prilosec and am hoping that will help with some of the stomach pain. Good luck and hope you get to feeling better!

Hi Everyone, I am new to this site but have been on here reading posts for a long time. You all are such an inspiration! I am 22 and have the sleeve on the 25th of January. I am sooo nervous but excited for surgery. I am tired of my pre-op diet but have lost a whopping 20 lbs so far! I feel good. I was just wondering about loose skin after surgery. I have been lifting my 8 lb dumbbells and trying to keep my legs in shape. Did anyone have very much loose skin after loosing all the weight? Im hoping that since im 22 my skin will still have quite a bit of elasticity. Any information would be great! thanks so much!

Hi Everyone, Im kinda new to this site. Its been a year long journey for me since I decided to get sleeved in January of 2010. Today I am starting my 2 week pre-op diet. I am very excited and at the same time extremely nervous! Is anyone else in the Peoria IL area or using Dr. Salimath?
