  1. Same here, I find sitting on an unpadded seat intolerable, my hips just can't take it. The last few visits to the chiropractor I had NO problems at all. I usually go every 6-8 weeks casue I get a crick in my back and neck and I didn't even have those the last time. I may strech out the visits or just go back as needeed.
  2. Yeah, we've all pretty much been there - and I have to agree it's nothing like barfing was pre-op. Super quick, just maybe 1/2 mouthful and without as much acidy stomach juices, it's over and done with in a flash - thank god!
  3. I am about 14 months out and can attest that I too can drink just as much as I want - albeit a little slower than I used to be able to. I could slam a full bottle of water in a minute or two, now it takes me 3 or 4 for a fast drink. Otherwise I DO get a bellyache if I drink to fast.

    Eating It All?

Boy, you're going to have to spread a LOT of meals out over a LOT of time. Be sure to also get in the pre-natal Vitamins too. All the best!

    Sex... After Vsg

Yep, losing weight releases a flood of hormones that were stored in the fat, so what you are feeling is perfectly natural and understandable. Good for you girl! Go get 'em tigress
  7. Yep, what swimmer said, and what an overwhelming majority of us here will say - the only regret is not doing it years ago.

    Testosterone And Body Fat Percentage...

I've probably had low T my entire life and a couple of years ago was tested. It was tanked, I had LESS T than a lot of women did. So I was started on injections and my life improved. I think this is part of what drove my to the VSG was finally having the bravery to do something about it because of the higher T because of the shots. Pre-op I was a tad on the low side but still within normal range so we left it at that. Post-op I maintained the same dosage at first and went back in for a check after losing like 80 pounds. The T level was through the roof, like double what it should be! HULK SMASH! ARRRGGGHHH! I was really showing a LOT of aggression and was horny ALL the time. We cut the dosage in half I was back in the correct range. A few months later and a bunch more weight off I was rechecked and I was STILL in the stratosphere on the T level, so we cut the dosage in half AGAIN. Last fall I went in after losing about 170 lbs total and was checked again and the lever was still high so we cut it in half again and this is the dosage I am on today, About 1/8 of the dosage I started out on. I think my low T is a congenital issue as I cannot come off the supplements all together as my level will tank. I tend to be on the lower side of normal now WITH the shots so I stick with them. So YES body fat dilutes the T level and losing it causes it to go higher. I know this for a fact.

    Diet Pills

Well. I'll chime in again. Read the bottle or box of nearly any diet product and it will recommend a proper diet and exercise along with the product - which is what you would lose the weight from in the first place. A lot of diet stuff even go as far as supply you with dietetic plans and exercise routines to follow. The day a REAL moderately priced diet pill that works without dreadful side effects without changing your dietetic practices by sheer will be the day that obesity has met it's match and someone is going to be a BILLIONAIRE over night. HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of products have come and gone, some with disastrous consequences for those using it. Now a word for what this forum is REALLY about. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The sleeve is different. It's a tool that works by limiting the SIZE of the possible intake as well as removing some of the ghrelin producing stomach lining that CAUSES hunger. It too WILL NOT WORK if you keep eating and eating and not curbing your appetite. When asked what I did to lose weight I start out saying "diet and exercise AND I had a small operation to help me". I lost the weight by eating less and burning off more. The sleeve didn't magically melt the fat away - I DID. It's a tool, not a miracle (although some would still classify it as just that). Try the pills, shots and what have you. If they work then GOOD FOR YOU! You've beat the number one killer in most of the world today. If not then maybe it's time to talk about WLS.
  11. Vary very cool article. I had no idea of the fantastic quantities of stuff in a pound of ugle old fat. So I'm down over 850 miles of vessels! As gmanbat points out that's gotta be good for the heart!

    Belching

HEY! On behalf of men everywhere I resent that remark Yep, the poor little swollen sleeve has no where to release the gas as it's packed full of food so UP it comes. Normally a lot of this gas producing action would be passed on to the intestines where some is adsorbed and some is, well, you know, passed the OTHER way. The pouch is pretty NON flexible due to it's size and the band of thicker tissue at the top and new scar tissue along the side and bottom from the operation so the gas has to go SOMEWHERE so let it rip. Unless you sound like Will Ferrell did in the movie ELF after he drank a full 2 liter bottle of Coke then you should be OK It lessens with time but never really goes away. Hiccups are another common problem when getting full. Just eat slower and eat LESS - which is what we're all after anyway!
  13. So sorry to hear of your marital problem. I would STRONGLY recommend counseling BEFORE the issue comes to a head. As others have stated it can be a whole host of issues, jealousy over your success to feelings of abandonment due to changing co-dependency. It could also be something HE is going through and you are just noticing it's effects on your weight loss excitement because that's the biggest thing going on in your life so far. I know I've come of cold and distant to the wifey before because of issues I've had elsewhere and I sort of ignored her health issues because I didn't want to burden her with mine. Seek counseling, there are tons of them out there, perhaps even free if you belong to a church or other social organization. We wish you all the best in your weight loss AND your marriage. As always, IANAD and IANAL.

    Is It Safe..

Well I take Mirilax AND 6 prunes AND a Fiber bar AND a Fiber1 yogurt almost every day so I would say that it should be safe to take Mirilax AND a fiber supplement. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using VST

    Revision Gone Wrong

We all certainly wish you the best and a speedy and complete recovery. It is amazing how the simplest procedures can go wrong so fast. My brother nearly lost his leg and potentially his life when his bunion surgery went bad and he got a MRSA infection and it started to spread and he developed heart issues while it was going on. He came out of it with his life AND leg thankfully. Both my wife and I have had it with NO complications at all. My sister had a bypass and ended up with a lot of complications too, very similar to yours. You just can never tell and have to judge the potential complication's versus the benefits for yourself.
  18. Jumping on the trampoline with my niece - for the first time ever! I probably could of before but the stress I would put on my body - let alone the trampoline would of been huge!
  19. At about 6 weeks MOST of the swelling is down. It can take up to 6 months or more for it to totally settle down and achieve it's ultimate proportions. Everyone is different. Remember you just cut most of the little guy OFF it'll be a while before he's up to snuff

    Diet Pills

Well IF they worked then there would be no real reason to be sleeved. They are for the most part harmless but being unfamiliar with what this particular brand and type are I would consult your doc about it first.
  21. Oh baby can we! I liked SOME spice pre-op but post-op I LOVE 'EM. I don't know what changed but I love stuff like black pepper now, whereas I hated it before. As already stated, if it sets right with you then GO FOR IT!

    My Latest Nsv

Oh yeah! I love it when they don't have to go get the "special" (fatty) cuff to do this. I honestly think my THIGHS are about as big around as my upper arms WERE. Ain't it great!
  23. I visit the forums a lot and always click on the VIEW NEW CONTENT link, read the threads then use the MARK AS READ link at the bottom. For the last several days the MARK AS READ appears to NOT work. At the next visit when I use the VIEW NEW CONTENT I DO get the new content, along with all the other messages - about 8 pages worth going back for 24 hours or more, even though I just visited an hour ago. I have tried it on 2 PCs and one Android tablet - same results, same logon of Rootman. Something busted?
  24. OK on a lark I went to a TOTALLY DIFFERENT PC and logged into the forum as me. I then used IE 8 on Windows 7 (rather than FF on XP I usually use) and did the VIEW NEW CONTENT link top center. it showed 8 pages of links dating back a few days. I then went to the BOTTOM of the page and clicked the MARK AS READ, it popped open and I chose MARK ALL AS READ, this took me back to the forum home page. I AGAIN clicked VIEW NEW CONTENT and got the SAME 8 pages of posts, and a few new ones that were posted in the ensuing minute or two it took me to go through this. This proves to me that it's not the PC or browser.
