Hi All, I will be 3 months post op on Monday and the hair loss has really kicked in. I am taking all of my Vitamins, which I buy from my surgeon and am taking additional Biotin. I am also getting in at a minimum of 60g of Protein a day. Is there anything else I can do to stop the hair loss? Or is this just something that has to run its course? How long does it usually last? Ashley- It is more hair thining all over. When I brush or wash my hair it comes out in my hands and in my brush. I would estimate 10-20 strands at a time. I just want to know if there is anything else I should be doing as a preventative.

I bought these chicken sausages at Walmart, the flavor I tried was the Spinach with Mozzarella flavor and it was soooo good. They have 2 or 3 other flavors also. The nutrional facts are really good too. 1 link is 120 calories with 17 gms of Protein and only 2 carbs. Each link is about 3 oz. I only ate about 2 oz. and had a few green Beans and was too full to finish it. I can't wait to go back to Walmart and buy some of the other flavors. TennJenn Congratulations on such fantastic results. I was wondering in your first 6 months of the journey do you remember having any stalls and if so how long did they last?

Can anyone give me some advice on the best protein bars? I am looking for the highest protein, without a lot of carbs and calories. I also want something that isn't a chore to eat because it taste bad. I have just been cleared by my surgeon to try protein bars and there are so many choices it is over whelming.

I was told by me surgeon that chewing gum will put additional air and gas in your stomach. I am 4 weeks post op and do not know when I will be allow to chew gum. I am going to ask again on my next visit.

I am 2 weeks post op today and feeling better each day. Then it hit, I started my period and I feel terrible. I have cramps worse then I had back in my teens and very heavy bleeding with lots of clots. I am wondering if this is due to the stress my body has been under due to surgery or maybe the blood clotting shot I received in the hospital. Has anybody else had this happen right after surgery and does it continue for the next few cycles?

Did anyone else get an ugly bruise from the blood thinning shot in the stomach? I only got one right before surgery, and I am 1 week post op and it looks horrible. How long does it take to go away???

Hi Seniorsleever, I am glad you are doing better. I was sleeved on the 25th and my IV infiltrated also, but only once. My arm that had the infiltration is more sore than my stomach at this point. It is bruised and still has a couple of small knots in it. Does yours still hurt? I have been putting ice on it but it doesn't seem to help.

I am at Home Sweet Home. I was sleeved on Tuesday, 1/25. For the most part went pretty well. Had a few dry heeves in recovery, then when advanced to liquids didn't have any problems. I am currently mainly sore in my ab muscles to get up from sitting and laying, but I have no problem walking. Also, my stomach seems to be constantly gurgling and bubbling and there may be some hunger pains too, can't really tell. I started on prilosec today. I also do a lot of burping. Does all of this seem normal for being sleeved for 2 days now?

How long did you use your spirometer(lung air capacity device) after released from the hospital? The hospital just said to continue at home, but I didn't ask how long.
