Ok... First off ... For everyone that is self pay or Mexico bound there is a NEW FORUM just for us.... YAyyyy!!! ... It's in the subform - Self Pay and Mexico ... Ok... Now my intended message... Hi... Looking for a sleeve sister ... Hopefully you're in the pre operation stage like I am and would prefer not to be in Mexico alone... I plan to have my surgery with Dr Kelly. And I'm hoping to be scheduled sometime in mid to late July. I'm just waiting on my passport to come back... Really looking forward to a brighter future and thinner me!!! I posted here in pre op only because the Mexico self pay is new and some people still don't know about it ... Yet .. Thanks for reading ... And good luck on journey!!!

That's fine... We all have to start somewhere... Mine began by trying to get insurance to cover it and you guessed it .insurance won't cover it for me.I finally made up my mind ... After months and months of researching to go to Mexico .. Where in GA are youu??? Are you going through insurance or self pay ? I'm self pay and going to Mexico Like lots of other woman from this site... The sleeve is new here in the states but they been performing it in Mexico for years ... This is funny I have had this problem occasionally, the first time I experienced it. My Hubby had taken me to an all you can eat BBQ buffet ...I was so miserable... The funny part is I'm not sleeved yet ... And I only had one reasonable plate... (note to self stay away from sugary and fatty foods after youve been sleeved or you'll be sorry)

From what know... Because I haven't been sleeved just yet but I'm hoping to be scheduled very soon ( mid and end of July) ... Dr . Kellys patients recover at a very nice hotel... Hi ... I'm Denise and just like you my husbands insurance won't cover the sleeve but will cover the band and gastric bypass, but I want the sleeve ... So been saving and researching...I've chosen Dr Kelly ... I have been on other sites and have spoken with his patients by emails and some by phone... I haven't been paid nor do I believe the people that I have spoken have been paid... I believe that they have shared there journeys out of the kindness if there heart... I'm not going through sandy I'm goin through Trish ... Best of luck and I hope this helped ... u

Hi Christiemon... I can understand being hesitant in your update about this situation... Out of fear of bring judged ... I believe most people on here have your best interest at heart... And are genuinely concerned because of the dr's lack of experience w/VSG, his response to you, and the situation all together... hey skinny my surgery is 2 months away but we have the same fears and I don't take pic anymore either. I still see myself fairly small and the girl in the pics in not me ... she may look like me but she not ... i ask my husband is that me ... do i look like that ... and bless his heart ... he always know just what to say .... i'm so ready for my surgey and i'm tired of my hubby lying to me .... ready to hear the truth .... i'm beautiful inside and out....
