  1. I really think I just didn't realize how little I would be able to take in, so then it made me feel bad when I couldn't...then with all the other complications (lump, uvula) on top of the normal stuff (gas pain, not being able to drink), it just made it worse...but I thank God I'm getting better. Last night was rough because I think I over did it yesterday (cuz I was feeling good). Ask your surgeon to show exactly how much fluids you will be able to take in right after the surgery. I really think it will help you, so you will be mentally prepared. I had heard it over and over, I guess I just didn't really believe it :(. And I think being mentally prepared will help you big time! I am happy to say I'm 199 today...Hugs :)
