Well, tomorrow is the BIG day!!! I'm so excited and nervous!!!! I can't believe I will be starting the journey on my new life in one short day!!! I have everything ready & have tried to mentally prepare for the gas, and other issues! Prepare for the worst, hope for the best! I want to thank all of you sooo much for the much needed encouragement and advice!! Can't wait to be on the other side!!!! Please keep me in your prayers!!! Kim

Doing much better today. Day 4. First 2 days were pretty rough! I was in the hospital for 2 days. Much better being at home. Hoping each day is better and better!

Oh my goodness!!! I made it!!! I am feeling better each day! The first two days were ROUGH!!!! It took a while for the anesthesia to get out of my system. I have never had major surgery, so didn't know how it would effect me. I was so, so nauseous, and had headaches for two days. I never really experienced "pain" except right after ,before I was given anything.
I'm having trouble getting all my liquid in. I guess that is normal. Do y'all wake up during the night to drink?? I woke up with another headache and wondered if I was dehydrated. IDK. I go to the Dr. Thurs. curious to see what they think.
Can't say enough about the thoughts and prayers!! I needed it!!!

I think soo!! I have been soo busy the last couple of days I hadn't really had time to think about it. When the hospital called today, the hair on my arms stood straight up!! LOL!!! I'm ready to be on the other side I know that much!! I'll post as soon as I can!!! : )

Hi Emma!! You are in the right place!!! You will do great!!! You are soo young! That is a great advantage!! I just started my pre-op too! My surgery is Friday! I'm nervous & excited! I'm starting to get really excited & nervous!!! This pre-op liquid diet stinks!!! The evenings are sooo hard!!!! I have to really talk to myself a lot!!!! I know it's worth it, it's just soo hard right now!

I'm with ya on the pre-op! It STINKS!!!! The first two days for me were hard! The second day was the worst, and I was on the verge of chewing my arm off!!!!!! By the 3rd day, I felt totally different, in a good way! I guess it took my mind a couple of days to catch up with what I was doing! Of course it doesn't help being a holiday weekend, but we gotta do it! Just think how hott we will be by Christmas!! I'm praying for all of us & know we will do great!!!! Kim -

Glad you are starting to feel some better!!! I have heard walking is the best thing for the gas, but of course that would be hard to do when you feel like crap!!!! My surgery is Friday! I'm trying to prepare myself for the pain, but IDK if there is really a way to!! It does help talking to y'all!!! Does the gas-x help at all???
