I haven't been here in a while. I was three weeks out one day before I could start mushies, and I started getting sick. I couldn't even drink water. Turns out I have a leak. I spent one week in the hospital with nothing by mouth. I now have a feeding tube with nothing by mouth. I am at home now which is a big plus. I went in 2 days ago for another EGD, and a leak repair. They feel that everything went well, but said now we just have to wait and see how it heals. My throat is killing me now. They scratched it up during the EGD. I'm feeling really down, and scared. Please let me know if you have experienced any of these things, and how they turned out.

Hey there! It has been a ordeal! Dr. Barker's office is being supportive. It has been frustrating though. I hope to get more information on Tues. Thanks for the thougths and prayers!

Thank you all for your well wishes. I am doing better the last few days. It has been a real roller coaster. First they said nothing by mouth, then they wanted me to have some meds by mouth. I was so nauseated all the time I am now back on nothing by mouth. Feeling much better not being nauseated. I actually have woken up the last two days hungry! I hope that is a good sign! I will be going to the Dr. once a week now. I'm very anxious to go on Tues. Today is one week post op of the leak repair. I hope he gives me good news like I can have liquids and get rid of the feeding tube & drain!!!! Please continue to pray for me! Thank you all sooo much for your encouraging words!!!

I found out I had a leak, because I got sick. I couldn't even drink water without feeling naseauted. I'm feeling bettr the last few days, but so ready to get rid of the feeding tube. I will be going to the Dr. every week from now on til they know its totally healed. Hopefully wont be long!

I had a pick line in the hospital for 8 days, but then I got to come home so they did the feeding tube. I am so scared. I do have excellent Dr's. and they are very positive. I'm just scared.
So it took you 22 days for it to heal? My Dr. said he won't give a time frame because everyone is so different. I just want an idea. So was it like starting all over agian on liquids once ...

I haven't been on here in a while. I have been having a lot of problems. I have a leak. I am on a feeding tube right now. Also, didn't you say they scratched your uvala? I had to had another EGD Fri. and that happened to me. How long til that goes away?Glad you are doing well!!!

I have been having pain in my stomach right between my breast, but lower since Monday. I talked to the Dr. office, and they said it sounded like gas. I took GasX and it did seem to help. Over the week it has gotten much worse and now anytime I take a sip of even water it hurts. I called Dr. and they think it may be a stricture! Has anyone else had this???? I go in Monday for an upper GI and then they will know for sure. I'm 3 weeks today and haven't even started mushies yet! I'm really scared!!! :drool:

Hey! Hope you are doing well! When did you start getting your energy back?? I thought for a few days I had it, but now feel so tired and having to take naps. I'm so ready for food I can't stand it!!!! I'm hoping it helps!

SOOO happy for you!!! I am 15 days and this week was sooooo much better! I was starting to get worried about myself!!! I still have one more week of liquid :biggrin0: My Dr. makes us do 3 weeks post op, but I am soo looking forward to mushies!!!! It is such a great feeling to wake up and feel that dark cloud gone!!! Congrats & I'm right there with ya!!! )) -

Hi! I could have anything liquid with no lumps or bumps. (except milk shakes! LOL) Broth, cream soups drained, needed 60grm. protein shakes, water, any diet drink except soda. Good luck! -

Hey there! Monday I woke up a new person!!!! Thank goodness!!! That was day 10. This week has been soooo much better. I haven't had the head hunger as much, but best of all that dark cloud that was hanging around is gone!! YEA!!!! Let me know how your visit goes!! YEA!! Can't wait to hear how much you have lost!!!

WONDERFUL!!!!! Thank goodness!!! I didn't know if that dark cloud was ever going to go away! I woke up Mon. morning and felt totally different!!! Whew! Glad that part is ovveerrr!!!!!
I got out and went to my sons football game last night and that was great!
How are you doing? Are you shopping yet? can't wait for that!!!
