IMO, wait for your sister. I would love to have my sister's support, before, during and after surgery, but she passed away a few years ago. If you have to ask this question then you already know that you want her there. What's 10 days in the rest of your life. Good luck !!!!

Hi, I just read your post and am wondering how you are making out. I'm in Halifax, and have been waiting 3 years, I finally have my one-on-one appt. on the 15th, so I hope to be sleeved soon. You said you were frustrated because you had only lost 33 lbs. in 6 weeks.....would you have lost it without the surgery. I hope you're feeling better and are getting healthier and getting your life back. Keep your fingers crossed that I soon get sleeved to get some quality back in my life.

I have my individual appointment with the clinic in two weeks, am excited and anxious. I'm wondering if anyone on this site has been sleeved in Halifax and has any advice for me. I know there have been a lot of VSG's done here in Halifax, but I guess they haven't been fortunate enough to find this web site. That's too bad because I've sure read some wonderful information on this site.

Oh Melissa, I know exactly how you feel, but I decided to put one on anyway. Everyone on here is here for the same reason. I'm terriably self-conscious of my weight and that's why I'm here...to change that. Don't be ashamed, be proud that you've made a decision to change your life.

I am so glad that I found this web site. The information is amazing and you guys look amazing. I am so ready to be sleeved. I am in Nova Scotia and have been on the list for over 3 years now and last August i attended a group meeting for approx. 50 of us who were on the list. We've had to keep track of everything we've done & eaten since then. Finally about 2 weeks ago I received a letter for my next appointment with the nurse, nutritionist and psychologist. I am so ready to have some quality to my life. I'm presently 338lbs and 5'6", it hurts to walk, sit, lay down and anything I want to do is very painful too. You folks on this forum have given me so much hope with your words and also just knowing that other people know how I feel and I'm not alone through this journey is amazing. Please throw a little prayer my way so I can get sleeved before it's too late.
