I like the Jillian Michael's Kind @ wal-mart (Chocolate) 4 pack is around 6 dollars. They have 16 grams of protein around 170 calories. I've tried several, these are my favortie.

The first few days were REALLY rough. I was banded on 3/16 I would say day 8 and 9 have been my best. I also had a hernia repair. Take your pain meds as prescribed, drink all water @ room temp (helps w/ gas) walk, walk, walk,.....my port site still is very tender. You will get a little bit better each day. Hope you feel better soon.

OMGEEEEEeeeeee! I totally have to agree The Hernia repair has been brutal for me. I called My dr office yesterday, when I take a deep breath I have a lot of pain and the said my hernia was pretty large and it was right behind my lungs, so it would take a while for it to heal. Today was my 1st day back to work and I took it very easy! Good luck to you as well! So weird to be on "other side" seems like I jumped through Ins hoops forever to get to this point!

Thanks, just talked to the dr. office, when they did my band, they also repaired a heinal hernia, the nurse today said it was pretty large and all the discomfort was normal. She said to continue with breathing exercises and it should be better soon!

I am 6 days post op, I took mine the next day when I came home. My dr said any pill size of an M&M or smaller would be fine, also capsules should be fine. My experience, has been no trouble, I do stand and take them one-at-a-time now each w/ a sip of water as oppossed to swallowing them all at one time, before the band. All mine are small.

Thanks! That is what they told me largest incision, left side where the ol' port is! So have you went bak to work yet? I called by boss sunday evening and told here I wasn't real sure when I wld be returning. Before I thought I would be there Monday bright and early....I've read about so many who had surgery on Friday and was back to work by Monday....not so much for me! I'm hoping maybe by wed, I'll go back. I'm married, have 2 boys, and work full time in a domestic violence shelter as a legal advocate. Very cool we were banded on the same day! I started going to weight watchers when I was 14 I'll be 32 in April, I had had enough. I',m healthy all for except being overweight. I researched and LB was the best choice for me! I can't wait to get off meds for High BP and PCOS! So what is your story?

Hello All, I'm 5 days Post-op and my stomach still REALLY hurts, gettting up off the couch, bending over to get something off the floor, walking out side, etc etc. I also had a henial hernia reparied the same time. Any help, suggestions, time frames when it gets better? TIA, Kelli
