Hi all, I am wondering if anyone know where i can apply to have about half of my surgery financed. My out of pocket fee is $4000.00 and that would pretty much wipe out my savings. I was hoping to finance half of it, at least but don't have good credit. Anyone with not so good credit get approved with a finance company? And if so which one? Thanks for your help!!

Thank you for all the info! i did apply at carecredit and got DENIED. I knew i would. Thank goodness i have a supportive hubby. We have money set aside. And i will be using a part of that. so hopefully everything else goes smoothly. Because i really need this to happen. I wanna be around for my son who is autistic and needs me <3

I just got a call from my surgeon's office and they said i have to have a pulmonary function test done, because my spirometer test came back negative or someting?? What happens with a PFT? And if i don't pass will they cancel my surgery?????

Not a smoker. i smoked in high school but that was forever ago. When i did the stress test, i couldn't finish it . and was like wheezing like crazy. i was never diagnosed with asthma...but maybe. I run out of breath fast and easily. and i just thought it was because i gained so much weight.im praying its something they will "treat" and not have to postpone or cancel my surgery:( -

THANK YOU SOOOO VERY MUCH! it has been heck going through the approval process and getting all these tests done. Now they say i need this one as well. I really need this surgery bad and i will be devistated if they cancel my surgery. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. YOu have made me feel a bit more at ease. THANK YOU!!! -

My surgery date is June 23! FINALLY it is around the corner. I will be starting my preop diet. Guess they want me to do 3 weeks since im very over-weight. Any advice? Any suggestions??? Id really appreciate any and all feedback, experience, concerns

SO relieved!!!! Called UHC this morning to check the status and she said i was approved!!! That was super fast. They submitted my paperwork last Thursday. I was worried i would have to do the 5 year history and the 6 month diet but i guess not!! woohooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Lord! June 23rd is my tentative date!!!!!!!!!

I read that some people end up looking older after losing so much weight. And have sagging skin. I am putting most of my savings into this surgery and probably won't have money to do a tummy tuck or something. I have a very round chubby ( fat) face :0 and hope i don't have that much sagging skin on my neck, or face or tummy. Can you tell me your experience? I hope to lose 100lbs or so. Thanks !! -

Thank you everyone! I don't think it will bother me too much, if i do end up with saggy skin. At least i will be able to walk and play with my son without wanting to pass out! Thanks again. Congrats to all of you!!! -
