    Hi Sandy... I'm 57 and just got the band 2/15/11. It has been a tough 7 weeks. Since the surgery I have only lost about 3 pounds...but the inches are melting off. Just do everything the doctors say and you'll be fine. Ask lots of questions, I wish I had asked more questions. Take all your Vitamins, Proteins and liquids and walk as much as possible.
