    Frustrated

I am having trouble getting in enough to drink. I think I am getting close but not quite the full amount. My problem is I've never been a big drinker anyway. I used to go HOURS without drinking pre-surgery and now all the sudden I have to do it all the time. It is quite possibly the hardest thing I've had to do. I am just grinning and bearing it. I always have a bottle of water with me and sip on it and if I get a little sick I wait a few and take another sip. I wish you luck!!
  3. May be going from High BP to Low BP since surgery. Doc wants me to monitor for a week. Uggghhh..... At least I'm losing some weight :D

    Secret Sleevers

Awesome answers and I see and understand the answers. Just like I said, I'm not judging or forming opinions. We all have reasons for our actions and I was just curious. In my case I told everyone. I announced it on my FB, told family and friends and everyone who would listen. I was flat out excited. I was wondering about negative reactions, and I got a couple, but the way I am not really affected by them. I have been fat and/or overweight since I was 8/9yrs old and am 35 now and have dieted hundreds of times with some success that always led to miserable failure so when that surgery date was given, for me, it was like winning the lottery. I made phone calls, jumped on FB. In the end I respect everyone's decisions for privacy/secrecy with some words I think most everyone here would agree with. Yes the surgery can be seen as drastic. Of course it is rather expensive. But in the grand scheme of things your life is worth the drastic and the expense! You didn't make a mistake

January sleevers how are you doing?

I was sleeved 1/27 and since surgery I have lost 11lbs 6ounces (40lbs pre-op). Before my first official (indigestion and reflux probs forced an earlier appt) appointment was yesterday and I was a little upset with it being only 11lbs but I've decided to look at it this way. The weight will come off!! I didn't have this done as a quick-fix!! I will walk, exercise and whatever else I have to do to make it worth it. I will only pay attention to my weight numbers only during appointments or at the gym. Until then, I will concentrate on my eating/drinking and exercise. Good luck to all of you!!!

    What I'm going to do

Run around and play with my kids Go swimming without my shirt on Run (as in go for a run) not 15 or 20 thundering steps Go bike riding again Live longer for my wife and children Generally not be embarrassed to go places I've been fat since I was a kid, maybe 9 or 10 yrs old. So I don't really know any different. Very excited to see what the hype of being skinny is *L*
