    Hey there is nothing wrong with starting the day off with a BANG! Sometimes you have to do it when the mood strikes and the kids are still asleep (in my case). Sometimes, that is 2 am after putting one back to bed!!! I love that part of my sleeve, i feel sexy again, and want to show it!!!!!

    Happy Hump day! Well it is spring and snowing outside! YAY!! ok, not really YAY! So today the group that I work with is going to a Thai place for lunch, not sure I want to go, first because, I do not like Thai, and second, i really do not eat enough to pay $15 for a buffet! Soup and my book sounds good to me! My menu for today looks like this, maybe some tweaking! (5 months post op) pre B- Protein shake B- UBR L- not sure! S- cantaloupe & strawberries D- sliders (without the bun) vites- at home again! need to text myself to bring them water- 24 oz in need to up that quick exercise - if i do not go out for lunch will walk the building later! NEXT>>>>>

    Shapewear

    Ok i have a weird question for all of you shape wear users! Has anyone ever gotten a yeast infection in the belly button from wearing shape wear everyday? I ask this because it happened to me, and I cannot figure out what it is from. I wear a take under my clothes everyday, 1 to keep the muffin top in check and 2 to keep warm. I noticed a weird smell (TMI?) the other day when i took it off, and looked it had some discharge on it near where the bellybutton would be, low and behold, my BB was all red and itchy and oozing!!! YUCK!!!!! I'm grossed out just telling you all, but need to know if i should seek medical help, or just use OTC cream!! thanks, patti

    Whatcha eating today!!! Tuesday

    Hey there! It has been requested that we add how far out we are so newbies and judge what they should be eating! Please try to remember! LOL, i will try my hardest!!! Today's menu: I am 5 months out! band to sleeve revision. B- UBR and tea (lots of tea) L- 2.5 oz deli ham and 1 slice of cheese & cantaloupe and strawberries S- yogurt D- going to a fundraiser for the boys school, it is at a pizza joint, but i'll get a chicken breast or something. vites- forgot them again! need to refill my work bottle! water- on my 4th cup of tea so that is 48 oz! go me!!! exercise- will walk a bit later (rode the bike at the gym for 3.5 miles yesterday before class!) NEXT>>>>

    Happy First Full Day of Spring!!!! Oh yeah and it is Monday! Had a busy weekend, didn't do so great on the eating front, but I'm down a half pound this morning! I'll take it! So on today's menu: B- UBR, need to get these out of the house too many carbs!! L- baked potato Soup S- Jello Caramel Mouse D- hot dogs! I can only eat a half of one when i used to eat 2 - 3! vites- left them at home, will take after dinner. water- not so good, feel crappy and cold! exercise - class at the work gym today!!! NEXT>>>>>
  8. well my 5 month surgiversary was on the 15th! I'm a few days late, but better late than never in my book. I'm so happy that i decided to do the revision and get rid of my CRAP BAND!!! that thing was the worst, especially after it slipped. So, since 10/15 i am down 50 pounds! my blood work is great except for Vitamin D which i am working on now! I am now down 77% of my excess body weight since surgery, the lowest that i have been since college! I have so much energy, that my kids are finding it hard to keep up with me! I can eat pretty much anything that i want, which is a double edged sword! I sometimes 'want' what i shouldn't eat, but a few bites and i'm good! before it would be all or nothing! My husband and son think i'm HOT, that is so cool! I am looking forward getting the last 19 pounds off and getting to goal! that is when I am going to buy a new wardrobe! Until then, my baggy size 10 jeans will just have to do! thanks for reading and being a great support group!!! Patti

    It is FRIDAY!!! YAY! I need to start downing some serious Water today to flush out all that sodium from teh corned beef last night! It was sooo good!!! On today's menu: B- UBR L- baked potato Soup S- hard boiled egg or yogurt D- probably more soup since it is pizza night, and i really cannot eat that!!! vites - In there! water - on my 3rd cup of tea (36 oz) will have lots more today! exercise - will probably make the kids walk with me tonight, it will be in the 70s!! have a great weekend all!     Daily Carbohydrate Intake

    That is great, but don't you exercise a lot? that may be the reason. I added a bit of carbs, not the good kind, and was at a stall for 4 weeks. I'm trying so hard to reduce them, but the cravings are killing me! maybe i should just up my exercise!!! Patti

    Whatcha eating today!!! Thursday

    Happy St Patrick's Day! Corned beef in my house tonight! I'm so excited!!! I love corned beef!!!! So here is my menu for today, trying to be good!! B- UBR and tea L- chicken salad (1oz) & hard boiled egg w/ pretzel crisps. Not sure how much i'll be able to eat!! S- yogurt D - corned Beef, cabbage and mashed taters!! vites- not yet Water - 40 oz of tea so far, and still chugging, it is only 9 am! exercise - did 5 laps around the pool, running, now swimming! will probably do some more tonight after dinner! Love that it is still daylight after dinner! NEXT>>>>>

    I love mine! Wish they had the version now where the data is Bluetoothed (is that a word) to your phone! I have had mine for 2+ years now, so it is the Original!!! I still use it everyday, and I love that when I remember to log my food, it shows the difference of what i ate to what i burned! My plan is $12.95 a month, and you cannot use the arm band without the monthly fee! After all this time, i think i need to get a replacement band, the stretch factor is a little gone! and my arm is much smaller, so I can probably go down a size! Hope this helps!! Patti

    Ok Peeps! we have our own forum now so no excuses on not posting what you are eating! For me this thread gives me ideas of other things to eat when i get bored, it also helps keep track of my calories, if I put it here, i put it on my online log!!! So, it is HUMP Day! Tomorrow is corned beef day again!! that will be 3 times this month, a little excessive, but hey we only eat it in March!!! Here is my menu for today: B- UBR - this was so good, glad I got them and will be getting them again, keep my full longer than yogurt! L- chicken salad & pretzel crisps S- yogurt D- Sheppard's Pie, another Irish dish that my kids love!! vites- forgot them again, will take when i get home! Water - 3 cups of tea down so that is 48 oz! exercise- it is raining so i will be walking the halls today at my breaks! NEXT>>>>>

    Good day all! Really need to figure out a new sleep schedule with this time change! My whole house is in chaos because of it!! Anyway, got these new Breakfast 'cookies' from Market Day at my son's school, the stats are pretty good, and i'm just about half way through one and I am stuffed!! I think if it had a bit more Protein it would be so much better!! So here's what's on my menu for today: B- Ultumate Breakfast Round L- chicken salad with 11 pretzel crisps PM S- yogurt D- no idea vites- left it at home water- on my 3rd cup of tea, freezing today! exercise- maybe a walk later!     Easter Sunday - WHAT WILL YOU WEIGH???

    Ok thought maybe it was because TOM was coming that the stall was happening, but NOPE! TOM came and went and I'm still 154! Ok, I am ok with being this weight, but I really just want to get to goal! My family says i'm small enough now, but really what is the point of having 85% of your stomach removed to only get 19 pounds away from your goal! This is my new week! and I will not get back on that damn scale until Thursday! I even upped my calories over the weekend and my exercise! so, we will see come Thursday!!!

    Irene, Could we make it part of the Sub-forums in the Food category, then we can just put the date in for everyone to add their menus and tips! this way it is not a new thread everyday! I really do not see the whole food forum as I just look at the 'View New content' when i log in so I never realized that it was clogging up the whole forum! Sorry!!

    thank you Susanne, that is just what i was looking for! i can plop that in on my Body Media page and it will do the math for me! I use the Body Media food diary so that when I sync my arm band, it shows my how many calories i burned and ate in the same day! I just have to get more diligent at doing it!!!

    what happened to the baby? i missed that one! How old is he/she? I hear you on the waking up all night, my twins are 4 and they still get up at least 3 times each per night, and not at the same time! that would be too easy for me! Of course, hubby doesn't hear them!!! Hope that baby is feeling better soon! Maybe take him for a walk outside if it isn't too cold where you are, the fresh air might make him fill better! You too!!!! HUGS!

    I get that gas feeling when i eat or drink too fast, or forget to chew to good! usually when the kids are acting up, i think it is called agita! No really, i found standing straight up and reaching for the ceiling then bending over to touch your toes will get that bad boy right out of there! but be warned, if you are in an office, you may want to go somewhere that others cannot hear or see you! works every time for me! patti

    Happy Monday! This time change thing has my house in an uproar! The kids are not liking it anymore than I am!!! I need to sleep! Only 6 days until Spring! I'm so ready to get warm with the weather! menu for today... B- Protein shake L- chicken salad S- yogurt w/ blueberries D- meatloaf (homemade from mom, can't wait) vites- looking at them! Water, eh exercise- have the stretching class at the gym at lunch! it may not burn a ton of calories, but man does it feel good!!! NEXT>>>>

    so, your story is pretty much like everyone else's! Except, I had a lap band before, and still went through the same mental notes, but a little less of a pain virgin (like that)! Had 3 kids, 2 tats, and previous surgeries! But still we all think "What the hell did i just do to myself?" And let me tell you, everyday it gets so much easier and easier! Pretty soon, you will be like the rest of us again and saying you really do not remember the pain! Feel better and keep up that walking, it really helps! Patti
