I couldn't feel mine at first, but after I'd lost probably 30-40 lbs. I could feel it. I remember asking my doctor if I'd eventually be able to SEE it and he said it depends on how much weight you lose lol. And ya know what, now after losing 75lbs, I CAN actually see it. Never mind the fact that I have to stand sideways and look really hard lol. Terri

It's been a few months since I've posted here and the board has seemed to change quite a bit. I've written a few times lately and I'm not sure whether they have shown on here or not. Just wanted to check again. Terri -
Don't know if anyone remembers me or not, but I've been having trouble getting into this board for over a year now. My name used to be Teryn on here and I had my surgery in Oct. of 2009. I'm 53 yrs old and like most of us here, had tried to lose weight for years and nothing worked. I had worked as a nurse for years till MS hit 10 years ago. Anyway, between the meds I have to take now, and not being able to exercise much at all, I hit 204lbs,and at 5ft tall, I KNEW I had to lose. Found a doctor who believed in me, and though it's been very tough, and very slow, I'm feeling so much happier these days. In the last 17 months, I've lost 74 lbs!! Haven't weighed 130lbs since I was in my 20's lol. I've not seen my doctor in months, cause I've also had to have knee replacement surgery. Wanna see him just to say thank you. I personally think losing 10 more pounds wouldn't hurt but wanna see what he thinks. Last time I posted here I was having a tough time cause the weight loss seemed to be so slow. I do think those of us in our 50's tend to lose slower too maybe than younger folks. Does anyone here agree with me? Anyway, wanted to say hello again to everyone. Terri

Thank you very much Wendy. When did you have your surgery?
