In May of 2010 I was able to adopt a baby girl. After a year of trying to become a good older mother I realized that I made a commitment to her when I adopted her and that with my weight I would never be able to live up to my end of the bargain. I decided that I needed Lap Band to watch my daughter grow up and to be able to play with her like I should. Before surgery I could not get down on the floor to play. I was on blood pressure meds. and very unhealthy. Now I jump on the trampoline with her and have not had meds in 6 months. I love the new healthy me.
