Well gang, Im now about 18 hours post op. I am suprised that the pain is as little as it is. I hope everyone else has this experience! Surgery was REALLY fast. From the time they wheeled me to the OR, til I went home was about 4 hours...surgery and all!!!! I was real impressed with how fast it went. The experience was great. I started my week 1 post op diet today, which is basically sugar free clear liquid diet. Its not too bad as I really am not hungry at all so far. Best wishes to everyone! Greg

Im 5 days out from surgery now. Im not scared, just really excited. I cant wait for the day. Been doing great on my liquid diet. Today was day 10, Ive lost 18.5 pounds so far in those first 9 days. Ill keep you all posted, im going in on the 2nd and have the whole following week off. Greg

hey guys, im getting banded on 2/2. Cant wait! I just completed week 1 of my pre-diet, and have lost 14.4 pounds so far. Good luck to everyone and thanks for starting the guy page! :mad:

hey gang, Im 5 days into my 14 day preop diet (today is day 6). Ive lost 11.5 pounds already! Its getting me really excited about this whole process! 2/2 is just around the corner! As far as the diet, I am doing the medifast diet as Dr Curry likes his patients to do. Its not too bad to follow at all.

Thanks Tracy. I plan on being on here a fair amount as I go through this. Perhaps I will get some before pics up and kind of document my journey through this program! Im so excited about this! My wife is being incredibly supportive for me as well as my family. Greg

Hey gang, great site! Im getting on 2/2/07 by Dr Curry in Cincinnati, OH. I cant wait for that date. Im self paying since my insurance excludes this surgery. Want to know more, just ask!
