Thank you so much for welcoming me. I must admit i read some of the posts on this site where people discussed some of the complications they were experiencing and i started to think twice about it. I have had a few more weeks to think about it and i reckon i will go ahead with the lap band as i would rather give it a try than live like this with all of the weight. Good luck with your journey. Hi, i currently weigh 100kgs and am 168cms. All of my life i have battled with my weight and have tried everything from regular diet & exercise, meal replacement shakes, Bulimia, Pilates, Bikram Yoga and even Diet pills. No matter what i do the weight never gets below 85kgs and it always comes back on plus a few extra after some months. My doctor has recommended i have lap Band surgery. I am considering it at this point. I just switched health insurance packages and have been advised that i will have to wait for a year before i can be covered for the procedure. This was extremely frustrating for me and i don't know if i can wait that long. I have been advised to take the time to educate and prepare myself for the procedure whilst i wait for the year to go by. So i am eager to learn all that i can to prepare myself and educate myself.
