    Take vitamins all at once?

I have not had surgery yet, but they recommend you take one mont prior. I take multi and calcium chew in a.m. iron chew at lunch, multi and calcium chew after work or with dinner. i also do a sublingual b-12 twice a week, vitamin c daily, and fish oil daily. i agree, the chewable multi are so nasty. i have the orange ones from bariatric advantage and they taste horrible! Made a hopeful purchase today

I guarantee you will be there before you know it!! I have not had surgery yet...MAY 9th!!! However, I am one of the ones that has lost large quanties of weight in the past, but could never keep it off!! I lost 120 lbs one time doing WW and bought a size 12 as my incintive jeans!! I just knew one day I would wear them!! Well, when I lost my weight, I put them on and they fell off me!! I was shocked!! I NEVER dreamed that i would ever wear those jeans, let alone them be too big for me! You will proably wear it, but just for a minute and it will then be too big!! LOL Best of luck to you!! Kelly

    A good couple of weeks

WOW!! GOOD FOR YOU. that made me cry!! Good job. Kelly
  4. I would think that 2 weeks is a little early to be eating solid food like a protein bar.!! My plan doesn't call for solid food of any type until 6 weeks out. You really need to be careful about advancing too quickly as it can cause leaks and other troubles! Kelly
  5. THAT IS SO AWESOME!! GOOD JOB! Kelly

    Greek Yogurt with Crystal lIght

    Hair Loss

I do not think it is protein either. I have not had the surgery yet, but I can tell you that when I did WW, they encourged healthy oils. Olive, flaxseed, canola, safflower and sunflower are all healthy oils. I bought flaxseed oil in a bottle and put a teaspoon on my oatmeal every morning or in my smoothie, couldn't taste it at all. I then used olive oil on my meat at night. 2 tsp a day was all it took to stop and keep my hair from falling out! Also made it really shiny. Try it, it just might work!! Kelly

    First Day Back At Work

That is my biggest fear!! I am only taking a week off work and am so worried that I will not be healed and ready to go back! I read lots of people are and can and so many take like a month off and still feel bad. I have a desk job too and deal with pain really well. I would like to know if there is a "SECRET" to people healing faster. Is it the walking, vitamins, and protein??? I plan on following those guidelines to a "T" and hopeully, I will be in good shape after my week. Best of luck to you!! Kelly
  16. I am so glad everything worked out for you. I too, remember you being freaked out about working at the same place you were having the surgery. Glad everything went well and you are home doing good. Keep us posted on your recovery! Kelly

    OH NO!!

I am super thankful that my Dr. is so cautious. That is one of the reasons that I love him!! He would never operate on me if it weren't safe and I know that!! He did email me back yesterday and put my worries to rest. He told me that the GI dr. is doing the upper g.i. just as a precaution and I shouldn't be worried that there is something wrong with me. It is more for "real time" images for my surgeon to see so when he operates, he will know how my esophagus is working! He said that the GI dr. also noted in my file that the surgery that is scheduled for May 9th can continue. He made me feel a lot better and I am thankful that I emailed him. The radiology dept. called this afternoon to schedule the fluoroscopy for April 26th. YAY!! That will be the last test. I am so happy. Thanks for all of your answers! Kelly
  18. I had to have an upper endoscopy done yesterday because i have GERD and have for several years. My surgeon wanted to make sure that everything was ok before he operates on me. The gastro dr. found a LARGE hiatial hernia and mild stomach inflamation!! He also took a biopsy...is that normal to take a biopsy? I am worried that something is wrong and that is why he did it!! Do you think that my Dr. will still operate? I am a nervous wreck! Kelly
  19. Hello and welcome!! You will find all of your answers here!! Everyone is so helpful and nice. I am being sleeved May 9th and can't wait! Best of luck to you. Keep us posted...and no more lurking!! Kelly
