Do you lose the weight uniformly ?
kellyw74 replied to kemo46's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have heard that sleevers lose all of their ass. i wonder why??? i also want to know, where does it go? i mean, i know you lose it, but it is not like it falls off and you thow it away, really, where is it? Kelly -
The whole reason for the pre-op diet is to shrink your liver to make the surgery safer and easier. You really should do everything you can to comply. I know it is hard, but it will be so much easier on you and the surgeon. I have heard of people being sent home for not doing what the surgeon asked. Good luck to you. Just rememeber that you can do anything!! And it is not forever. Take it one day at a time and you will be o.k. Kelly

If you are talking about sugar-free chocolate i say NO WAY!! sugar-free hard candy i don't really see a problem with one, once in a while. my dr. says no gum, tic-tacs or candy. it encourages mindless eating. i don't agree, but that is how they think!! good luck to you!! Kelly

I should have asked them if they were interested in joining. I bet they would have. DANG, DANG, DANG!! I am sure as we get going, there will be lots of people that find out about us and will want to come too. Cuz we will be so awesome!! LOL Kelly

WTffffff- Esophogitus must be healed before doing surgery!!!
kellyw74 replied to former_vbg's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Do you take Nexium? If not, ask for it!!! It is the only PPI that helps heal your esophogus while treating the acid erosion. I have taken it for years and it is a wonderful, well tolerated drug. GOOD LUCK!! kelly -
I am pre-op and I am having lamb chops on the grill with veggies. YUMMMMM. Kelly

That is great!! GOOD JOB!! I know what you mean! I have lost a lot of weight in the past and have tons of clothes in all sizes. I always gained back, so was glad that I had them. Now, I have 12 totes full of clothes I know I WILL NEVER WEAR EVER AGAIN!! Exciting, but that is a lot of money to replace!!! I guess I will just go to the Goodwill like everyone else for a while till I am at goal weight. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!! Kelly

kellyw74 replied to BeachWithMyBabies's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I hear that as you are able to eat more, you feel more restriction. I have not had my surgery yet, so can't really tell you, but, do not eat that pizza!! Keep doing what you are doing and be strong! This too shall pass! Kelly -

Middlesiter 57, I did ask my Dr., but when I first found out, I asked here as I had to email my Dr. and sometimes it takes a few hours/day for him to respond!! Yeah, I am good. They said no worries. I did find out that once you have been treated for it, it is unlikely you will ever get it again!! That was good news. You know what else was weird? I took a blood test for it and it was negative, but the biopsy was positive. My Dr. is concerned about FALSE negative tests now! He is going to do research to see how many their are to see if blood tests are accurate! Thanks everyone! Still taking HUGE amounts of antibotics and they are still making me feel crapy!! Only 10 days left! Kelly

I have been reading a lot all over this board and read somewhere that a lot of you don't have any boobs anymore. I was wondering does everyone lose their boobs? Now, I know boobs are just fat tissue and when I lose weight, they do shrink, but do they seriously go that much? Seriously, I have nice ones, not to toot my own horn and this worries me!! LOL Are there any of you out there that still have them? Thanks! Kelly
-
LOL HIP!! And TIFF you are right, I guess I would rather get rid of my fat and if the boobs go then they go!! Thanks for helping me to see it in a different light. Bring on small boobs if I can be healthy and thin! LOL Kelly
-
Well, I have lost 55lbs pre-op and I haven't lost cup size, but have gone done inches. Thanks girls. That makes me feel a lot better. Hopefully, mine will stay. LOL Kelly
-
Well, maybe I should clarify!! LOL I have a good 40D. I don't want to become like a B or something. That is all I was saying. Mine aren't HUGE by any means, but I don't want to be left with little mosquito bites either!! HAHAHAHAHA!! Kelly

Sad after surgery
kellyw74 replied to jessicaamere's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When did you have your surgery?? I hear ALOT of people have "buyer's remorse" for a while, but then LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their sleeve later. It is normal to feel that way if you are freshly sleeved, but just curious as to when you had your surgery. Kelly
