    Feeling Lethargic

You might want to make a trip to your primary dr and tell them how you feel. Are you dizzy at all?? I was that exact way after surgey and went to my PCP and he drew blood and I was horribly anemic!! I take iron supplements daily and I feel soooo much better!! A simple blood test is all it took to see what was going on! Kelly
  5. I wanted to band too. My surgeon said NO WAY!! He told me of all of the complications with the band and that within a year it would be in my throat!! I am so happy that he was honest and did not do it and did the sleeve!! I LOVE MY SLEEVE and read horror stories aboutt he band! Kelly

I was in at 11, had surgery at 2:30 ish. Went home the next afternoon. I did exceptionally well. Kelly
  7. I had the same thing!! It was like a huge crater and was weird. I am 11 weeks out today and mine is gone. I don't know when it went away, but it is gone. Kelly

I was advanced to soft foods on week 4 and that is when I ate hamburger! Good luck! KElly
  9. That should make you feel AWESOME!! It should be a reminder of how much different you look. That would be a constant reminder to me of how great I look!! Kelly

What an awesome feeling!! So happy for you! Kelly
  11. Down 5.6lbs from last week!! OMG. I weigh 185!! Only 20 to go!! I love my sleeve!!

  12. Actually, I did a test this past week and I SHOCKED the hell out of myself!! I snacked more (only 100-150 calories more day), didn't exercise as much-only twice instead of daily and when I weighed this morning, I lost 5.6 lbs!!! WOW WOW WOWWWW!! THAT IS CRAZYYYY!! I am so happy I almost screamed!! I now weigh. 185!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have not been this low since I can not remember when!! I only have 20lbs till goal!! YAY!! Kelly quote name='moongirl' timestamp='1311488009' post='183831'] I'm having the same problem. I'm about 5 weeks post-op and have hit a stall. I too am exercising and am often at a deficit for calories. Some days I only consume about 500 calories. I have been adding a Protein shake and am now trying to eat more than three times a day. Like you I can't eat enough during meal times to get my calories up. Especially, heavy foods like meat. I have decided to add a couple of Snacks too. However, I'm worried it will slow my weight loss.

    Hiccups

I get the hiccups at least 2-3 times a day and I will be 11 weeks on Monday! They are annoying, I don't know what is up with them, but really wish they would stop!! Kelly
  14. The gas for me was HORRIBLE!! The only pain I had was the gas. Nothing helped. I was miserable for about 4-5 days. Then when it finally decided to break loose, I got really bad gas and was soooo happy to fart!! TMI, I am sure, but I felt so much better after about 10 of them. Then I got the squirts and that just made me feel even better. Those lasted for about a week. It sucks, but it is what we have to go thru. Gas X did nothing for me!! Walking didn't help, only time made it better. Hope your's breaks loose soon!! Kelly

    AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

If you have to lift stuff. Have your dr. write a lifting restriction for you when you return to work and therefore you will not be able to lift for the required healing time, but will be able to be at work. That way, if they make you lift and you hurt yourself, then they are liable. Kelly
  16. I took gummies in the begining, but my nut said they didn't give me enough nutrients. So I went to BA multi. After a few weeks they began to make me sick, so at 4 weeks post-op I was able to swallow BIG pills and switched to Centrum. I have been taking them ever since! Kelly
  17. No, it does not bother my stomach at all. I don't have constipation or any upset. I also take Ester-C for better absorption of the Iron. I take one of the iron pills when I get up, my Centrum with Breakfast and another iron pill before bed. I also have the iron chews from Bariatric Advantage and i eat a couple of them a few times a week. Hopefully, I won't o.d. on iron!! LOL Kelly
  18. I was always starving before surgery and prayed and prayed that this would be resolved for me post-op. I was so sad when I was still hungry at 7-8 weeks after surgery. I too take a PPI everyday and have for 8 years. I just felt so defeated. Alot of folks on here talk about false hunger from acid and I mentioned it to my surgeon and he said it was bolonga!! I took it upon my self to get some Prilosec OTC and try it insead of my Nexium. It took about 17 days of taking it befor I noticed a difference, but I seriously can tell a HUGE difference in my hunger now and I have been taking it for about a month now. I still get hungry, but I am not STARVING all of the time like before. If I go 5-6 hours without eating, my stomach will tell me, but I don't growl all damn day like before. I got my primary dr. to give me a prescription for the Prilosec because it is cheaper than buying it over the counter and I am now taking it everyday instead of the Nexium. If you can, get some Prilosec and try it. If it works have your surgeon switch you. Good luck! Kelly
  19. If you have Kaiser, in the pharmacy they sell Ferrous Gluconate pills over the counter. I take them because after surgery I became anemic. I take 325mg two times a day in addition to my Centrum that has iron in it. My levels are much improved after 2 months and I am to continue this until my 6 month labs in November. I would ask your dr. first, but they are like $4.00 for a box of 100. Good luck. Kelly

    60lbs down pic

    Lookin' hot!! Good job! Kelly
  21. I too am playing with my intake to see what is going on. I do the same thing...lose, stall, lose, stall. It is frustrating. BUT, I do think it is the calorie restriction that does it. I basically eat between 600-850 a day and that is really hard for me to do most days. I will be 11 weeks out on Monday and sometimes, I just can't get it all in. I use myfitnesspal.com and have found on the days I exercise, I burn about 250-300 calories at a time. If I am only consuming 700, that is only leaving me 400 net for the day!! No wonder I am not losing!! So this week, I only exercised twice instead of everyday and I lost 2lbs instead of .5. I think I need to try to do something to up the calories so I can exercise or not exercise for a while! It is so hard to wrap my head around all of this. My plan only wants me to eat 3 times a day, 1/2 c, with no snacking, but I can't do that. I can't eat enough at one time to get enough calories in. So, I snack. I have to. Maybe one day it will all just click!! Kelly
  22. I hit 35lbs down today in 10 weeks. 90lbs lost overall and 25lbs to go!! WOW!!

  23. If you could do it on your own, you would have never been with that surgeon in the first place and you know that! You have to do what is best for you, but know that you will not find anyone on this forum that regrets having it done and most of us would do it again tomorrow!! There are a few on here that are just having buyer's remorse right now because they have not learned how to use it, but those of us that are healed and have really gotten a chance to use our sleeves love them! Kelly

    AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

I had my surgery on a Monday and went back the following Monday. I also have a desk job. I was tired, but was fine. I think 4 weeks is really extreme unless you have complications and need to be off for that long. Good luck! Kelly

    FULL??

I have not felt full or that tightness feeling in my chest and I am 10 weeks out. I measure my food and usually don't even get to eat all of it. I eat until I no longer feel hungry and then I stop. I sometimes hiccup and feel pressure in my throat! That is most def when I stop if I haven't by then! Kelly
