My wife says the same thing about me. I don't see it, but her and the kids say that I'm always snappy. I asked the doc and he says that it is not common in his practice. He suggested doubling the exercise. (that way, I'll be too tired to fuss, lol).

I've had the Sole for about two years and have had zero problems. It is sturdy, quiet and convenient (platform tilts up out of the way). I was sceptical with the $1000 price tag, but I am thrilled with the quality of this unit. Like grandpa always said, "buy the best quality and you'll most always be happy with it!"
-
Function is fine, so I don't think its a medical issue. I'll check with Doc when I go back for a visit. Nice to hear a woman's point of view that you wouldn't mind it! Where do you live? lol!

Bud Light tastes pretty good over ice. Can't guzzle like before, but one or two now and then hit the spot.
-
Pour your beer over ice and sip it like any other liquid.

Well, the boys have dropped. They just hang there really low...so low...(here's the embarrasing part)...that they get wet when sitting on the pot! How aggravating! I have to hold em up to do the business! Has anyone else had this issue? My wifey also complains of them sagging when we are "passing a good time"! Is this common to weight loss guys? Or is it just me?
-
I don't have the issue at night but I do get cotton mouth if I am outside trying to do some chores and don't constantly sip on water. That's aggrevating as hell to stop what I'm doing to sip, sip, sip! If I don't have any water to sip, I'll get real hoarse in the voice and my throat gets dry too. I generally get 64 to 100 ounces of fluid a day, so I should not be dehydrated.

What is in your protein drink?
ezlsm replied to Beadingnurse's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Wow! That's good information! Thanks for posting. I also was unaware that excess protein consumption can harm the kidneys. I guess "damned if you do, damned if you don't" applies. -
Can anyone describe the feeling of restriction?
ezlsm replied to Roudoudou's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
ALL OF THE ABOVE! and VERY POWERFUL FEELING! The sleeve definitely does what they say it will do...restrict your intake! -
I had Dr. Gachassin. While he is a very accomplished and capable doctor, he does come off with quite a bit of arrogance. He is friendly and nice but I don't feel like he listens when I ask questions. He just uses generic answers. It's kind of like, "you're doing fine, go about your business". His PA is very attentive and she makes me feel important and she tries to answer all questions and seems sincere. The staff is super and very friendly and helpful. Dr. Gachassin rules the hospital. If you have any complaints, he will shake them up immediately. When he talks, the staff listens! I feel like there should be more frequent follow ups with the Bariatric Team than they schedule. However, you can call at any time and they will talk to you. I was also cash pay. Watch out for the double billings. The doctor's office, the anesthesia group and now the hospital have sent me subsequent bills. Now, they were quickly taken care of after a phone call, but when I got the $2200 bill from the anesthesia group, I nearly fainted! I was scheduled about 6 weeks from the first visit. It depends on his schedule and if there are any openings. I would recommend Dr. G and the LGMC Bariatric Dept.

I can tolerate pills and prefer them to chewables. My NUT says its ok. I am wondering, however, if there is any benefit to chewables over pills?

I am experiencing similar issues. Yesterday, I had 1 small grilled chicken tender, chewed well and took at least 10 minutes to eat it. I had the full feeling, got the hiccups (which I have had often), started feeling pain, then it seemed like something was stuck and the painincreased. After about 10 minutes of this, I had the urge to vomit (which is very uncommon for me). I took two sips of Water and instantly felt relief! I guess it was stuck. I am 5 weeks out. Today for lunch was grilled fish, very moist. After I had eaten about 1/2 of what I would normally get in (maybe 1oz) I started with the same feeling. This time I stopped quickly and after about 30 minutes, it has supsided.

I tried "the Bullet", 42g, and although it is better than most that I have tried, I still can't do it! And there seems to be some posts on here or at OH that suggest that collagen Proteins do not absorb well in the body and you may not be getting much of the grams that these purport to have. I would like more info on that. My Nut seems to be ok with them.
