I was diagnosed with PCOS about 8 years ago and I was sleeved 4 months ago. I have lost 73 pounds since surgery, so I would say that for me personally having PCOS has not interfered in my weightloss at all. I did have a stall about 3 weeks after surgery which lasted about 3 weeks but I think that's pretty normal. So just be patient and the weight come off trust me.

I really just take it one day at a time. Everyday is different, some days I can get all my fluids in and some days I can't, some days I get all my Protein some days I don't lol. What I don't do is I don't beat myself up about it, I feel everyday is a new start for me

Welcome Gina! I had VSG on 9/2/10 and I also had a history of dvt's and pe's. I had my filter placed about 1 week before surgery, everything went fine and i'm doing well. They went in about 3 weeks after my surgery to remove the filter but they we unable to retrieve it.......the dr said that it's fine to stay there the rest of my life actually. I'm okay with that because I feel like I have protection in case I ever get another clot in my legs I know that it wouldn't be able to travel to my lungs like before. I wish you luck with you up coming procedures and your weight loss.

I'm almost 3 months out, I didn't have any complications but I will tell you that this is no way taking the easy way out. If they are truly your friends they would support your decision to be healthier and happier. I would do it all over again in a heart beat.

Hey September Sleevers!!!!!!! I'm down 52 pounds since Sept 2 as of this morning. I'm so excited and happy about all the changes that have taken place in the last couple of months.

I've had PCOS for about 10 years and I had surgery 10 weeks ago tomorrow. I have lost 49 pounds, I know I still have a long way to go but I just wanted to let you know that you'll do just fine.
