Help!! What elese can I eat?
Deakay replied to HappyFace's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
greek yogurt, eggs, refried beans, ricotta bake from eggface (awesome!) blended soups......I thought I'd died and gone to heaven when I tried V-8 Cream of Broccoli I was leaning away from the sweet stuff, had more than enough of that during liquid phase! And I tried to lay off the carbs too, this is the honeymoon period and it should help..... -
Bad Bedside Manner....Having Second Thoughts
Deakay commented on Sweet Toni's blog entry in Newbie Sweet Toni
I picked a hot surgeon and THAT helped........ seriously though, if you were asking the same question 19 different ways I would get frustrated as well. Or if you were just looking for guarantees how would you expect him to give you that? But if it was more information that you wanted and hadn't gotten from the seminar or support groups, maybe you should switch surgeons? I would think if you stay within the same group it wouldn't re-start the process...... I hope it goes better for you from here on out -
I was just talking about this........I didn't have an issue before surgery, but when I had to pee I released a LOT. Now, I am drinking more fluid and rarely have to go at all.........no idea what that is about.

A friend of mine that is rather robust in the bust department has a winnie-the-pooh on the top of her left breast..........over the years pooh has gotten taller and thinner It just sort of happens even without weight gain/loss. Mine are on the back of my neck and my foot so I don't anticipate any problems.......will wait to get my next one after I reach goal, maintain it for a year, and pay for my new boobs
-
I bought some at Walmart and they do help a lot.......it is a good option until I get to goal and reconfigure the girls

I was married for 24 years to an alcoholic/drug abuser. He was very functioning and I didn't even know about most of his lifestyle, but that is neither here nor there A few things I've learned in life: Your kids see your relationship and will recognize it as they form their own......that means your sons will think this is normal behavior. How much do you want them to grow up this way? This behavior is not going to change. Your relationship is not going to change. He is not going to change. You COULD overcome it, but it will not change. It may deteriorate, but it will not change. This is a hard concept, but people are fundamentally unchangeable. I see the way I have grown since my divorce, and even though I look at myself and see this "change" that I mention above cannot happen, in my soul I know I've grown, I've mellowed, I've done a lot of thinking, but the part of me that knows me best knows that I am basically the same, I have just learned to recognize traits in others and myself that I wasn't willing to see when I was in my 20's and 30's. I had a 5-year plan prior to my divorce, and made it through 3 of those years before his addictions were beyond living with. I stayed together for the kids as so many do, and when it was all over I realized I didn't do anybody any favors. I wish I would have followed through when my kids and myself were younger. Starting over at almost 50 is not much fun, but it can be And it sure beats starting over in my 60's or 70's. Find a therapist, for yourself, your family, your marriage. They teach you exercises to help you recognize what you need and if you're getting it. Go together, go alone, just go.......it does help. I won't tell you to stay or go, but you already know what you need to do, its the doing that is hard. Its going to suck, but it isn't permanent. Today, life is pretty fabulous.........and a long time coming!

I'm allowed to eat it, but there isn't a reason to I don't really like it and it doesn't have any nutritional value.

Heavy Periods since 4 weespost surgery-please help w/ any info
Deakay replied to ilovemusic's topic in The Gals' Room
I had an ablation a couple years ago.....was sleeved in March. Two of the best things I've ever done for myself! I was not having periods at all prior to my surgery, but have had one every month since about 2 weeks post op. Nothing heavy, a couple of spots for a couple of days, but wasn't having any prior to being sleeved. So yeah, lots heavier than what was my normal. This month has finally tapered off a bit, and I would bet by next month I will be back to my normal. And yeah, heading towards the big 49 this year, so I'm sure the whole production thing was way past prime prior to my surgeries -

Will I be able to function? I have to go right back to work
Deakay replied to chilljill's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
my pain was very minimal, didn't even take the pain meds they sent me home with.......but I was very tired. I also sit at a desk all day. Had surgery on a Monday, worked half day that Thursday and then was gone until the following Monday. Didn't really have any issues, but I was in bed at 9:00 every night for a while. -
Kinda thought things would be better by now
Deakay replied to bonbon85's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I've checked the meetups in my area, a couple of nearby cities.......there really isn't anything in this area -
And I hit onederland! What a fantastic day.........am down 50lbs, about half way to goal Seems to be picking up a bit, I had stalled for a couple weeks there but seem to be back on track now. I'm cutting out almost all simple carbs and hoping to speed up the process. If I get to goal by January, I should be able to start on my breast augmentation by next summer! Well its good to have a plan anyway. Who would have thought I'd be 48 years old, single, sleeved, and this happy?!! The only thing that could make it better is to get my daughter a little more settled, out of college and happy in a relationship. I guess I will work on those positive vibes for her Happy Thursday Sleevers! I'm having a fantabulous day!

I was a 32 A in high school.......at my biggest a 38B. Still wearing the same size but once I've been at goal for a while will get augmentation. And I will be 50 by then But I will be 50 years old with or without nice boobs........so I choose yes! A palm reader told me I would live into my late 90's so I think it will be a good return on my investment! /snark

Sutures sticking out?
Deakay replied to itscometothis's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I had 2 of them sticking out......one I had the surgeon clip when I was there for follow-up. He pulled on it a bit with tweezers and clipped it. The other came off/out when the scab finally fell off that incision. I probably could have clipped it myself, but it wasn't getting in the way of my clothing the way the first one was. -
My Plastics Journey - My first one (of several)
Deakay replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I think they look great! Congrats -
I keep hoping I will drop sizes faster......but so far no go. I DID buy a pair of trousers in the regular sizes, and they were a 16 too So I guess from a 18-20 W to a 16 regular is progress but I so want to try the 14's! I still wear my 18w's to work every day, they are pulled up to under my boobs and I'm walking on the bottoms, but since they are mostly knit you don't notice the droopy crotch/butt too much....lol
