    Sleever's Rendezvous...?

Maybe more regional get togethers would be best. For example Portland, OR; Lasvegas,NV; Colorado Springs,CO; New Orleans,LA; Nashville, TN; Orlando, FL; and somewhere in New England like New York City or Boston

    Sleever's Rendezvous...?

If you guys are planning a summer get together weather is going to be the deciding factor. The south is miserable in the summer and so is the east coast in my opinion. Since the consensus is to meet up centrally I think colorado is a good option. The springs has some fun things to do and the garden of the gods is breathtaking plus you could challenge yourself to a hike up pikes peak. There is also an airport so you wouldn't have to drive in from Denver but it isn't that far of a drive anyhow.

    pre-surgery advice for sleevers

LOL some good advice!!! I didn't think of the advice given on point #2 IV in the right hand ... the wiping hand. I personally was thinking since I sleep on my right side and like to have my hands under my face that I might pull out or tug on the IV. So now there are TWO good reasons to consider the IV in the left hand. PS. I never trust a fart  pre-op for that matter... so post op I would assume would go double for untrustworthy

    Surgery story

Thanks for the story. Details are good. I felt like i was right there on the table crying with you. My surgery is April 11th and I just know I will be crying on the table too Shoot I was almost crying when getting the endoscopy done... luckily the nurses had me talking so much I didn't get a chance. Surgery virgin here sooo everything will be new and weird.

Well I got the call today to schedule the sleeve surgery (april 1st) and wouldn't you know it... it is smack dab in the middle of the two weeks my sister is out of town!!!! 800 Pound Gorilla in the Room

There is always lite beer... didn't budweiser get a beer down to 55 calories. Just watch out for the really cold ones Might take awhile for it to get back to a liquid state. Thanks Tom for the additional question on spicy foods. I also like spicy stuff ... Cajun and Jerk spices and buffalo wing sauce and the list continues... Also whenever my "co-workers" were especially "trying" I always claimed they were idiots with an E (ediots) they were not good enough for the correct spelling

Period during my surgery date, bad?

A friend just had bypass surgery two months ago and she started her period the day after. She wasn't suppose to start for another 10days or so. She was told by the nurses at the hospital that its very common for that to happen. She wished would have known earlier since she has very BAD periods... it kept her in the hospital longer. I am glad she clued me in
