How much weight was lost on liquid diet prior to surgery?
DoingIt4Me! replied to tryingtolose100's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't have to do the liquid diet but 2morrow I am switching over. I know it's crazy but I thought that is the diet I had to do and found out otherwise on Monday. My surgery is the 11th. I am switching over 2morrow because I think it will be a lot easier for me. I tend to get overwhelmed calorie counting and all that stuff. I know it's part of it but I'm already filled with anxiety being so close to surgery. I read in my binder from my Dr. that you can use the Carnation breakfast drinks and mix with a cup of water or 1% milk and 1/3 cup of powdered fat free milk (for the additional protein). I did this and added a scoup of the EAS? protein powder to it and it is really good. Cold is the key for me. The chocolate is great but the vanilla is really sweet. Also, just from the people that I have talked to, it seems like they had better start that others and it continued. Good luck! -

I have some fierce cellulite on the back and inner portions of my upper legs. What have you done to get rid of this problem or atleast reduce it?

breast size b4 and after weight loss surgery
DoingIt4Me! replied to DoingIt4Me!'s topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Thanks ladies for the info. I've been trying to walk 2 miles a day and my back is really giving me issues. I cancelled that appointment and rescheduled with a surgeon that my mom has heard good things about. I go on April 5th to meet with him. So much to do in the next few weeks. On Monday, I have all of my tests done and have to attend my seminar. Then, this breast appointment on the 5th. Finally, my big surgery day is the 11th. I can't wait. However, I'm not too excited about this liquid diet but I guess I'm going to have to learn to love it. -
I started the process back in July of '10 and needed to complete the 6 month thing but my husband lost his job and insurance. I just recently started the process over. Fortunately, with my new insurance, I had to do my psych visit and they used the other visits from this summer. Round 2 has taken just over a month and I've received my approval and am scheduled for testing on March 28th and surgery on April 11. I am so excited and really didn't think it would be this easy! I am feeling a little anxious. Ok, a lot anxious! I feel like I need to eat everything! When I read others posts and research more and more, I feel a lot of anxiety. I have not had surgery before besides my tubal. I am thinking that it's my nerves and I am an emotional. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Thanks for all of your responses. Sometimes it's a great help just to know that you're not alone. I am going to continue to take things 1 day at a time. I really enjoy this site because there is really so much good information here! It is really helping me get through all of this... -
I don't know where to begin!!! I want to wear a bikini, cute jean shorts, high heals that don't make me look like I'm going to come crashing down, some cute naughty lingerie, and sun dresses that don't go down to my ankles. Lol! These are just a few. I will be happy to shop in the junior department again!
