Way to go. m2G! I had a great day. Walked after work and tried to eat chicken stirfry for supper. Didn't get much down for some reason. Weighed this morning and DOWN A POUND! I'm so happy for a loss. 19 lbs now since starting 5:2 in June. Only a few more to get to original goal and HOLD UM, hold um, hold I'm. As rawhide would say!!!!
-
I talked a couple people out of bands in the last months!

Well, I tried to have chicken stirfry for dinner and only managed as all portion of it. Only 243 calls today so far and it's 7pm. Anybody experiencing MUCH MORE restriction doing 5:2? I think I had made myself believe it was holding more when in reality it was sliding more stuff through that I ate! . I cannot get much at all dense protein down STILL, And I eat wayyy too fast.

3:40 and I've had SF Maple brown sugar oatmeal and a mini baby bel cheese. 150 cals so I have 350 for my yummy dinner. Early on, I wanted to EAT today wasn't really that hungry just wanted something! Persevered!

Yep, you are!!! Lol Just a note of encouragement - I am three + years out. 100 lbs lighter and love every minute of it! My advice - try not to think about the 85% part gone and focus on the 15% left. You will be very happy you did it, I predict. At least I was! Never looked back and love it! -
OMG! You look gorgeous!!!!!!!!

I'm three years out! Have NOT regained all weight. Lost 100. Still have 92 off and working on other 8 now! You def have to watch what you eat

I usually eat around 10 and then no later than 7 on fast day. Snack no later than 8. Which gives me a full 12 hour window at end and usually a 12-14 hour beginning window

In a physiological context, fasting may refer to (1) the metabolic status of a person who has not eaten overnight, and (2) to the metabolic state achieved after complete digestion and absorption of a meal. Several metabolic adjustments occur during fasting, and some diagnostic tests are used to determine a fasting state. For example, a person is assumed to be fasting after 8–12 hours. Metabolic changes toward the fasting state begin after absorption of a meal (typically 3–5 hours after a meal); "post-absorptive state" is synonymous with this usage, in contrast to the "post-prandial" state of ongoing digestion Dont think it really matters as long as it's at LEAST 8 hours!

Hi, my name is Georgia and I'm a former "fatty!" (How's that for breaking the ice?!!) No, really, I hear this all the time from others but I TRULY was a nice looking obese person. I could handle a lot of weight and nobody ever thought I weighed as much as I did. (250) I can actually remember starting a diet in the 4th grade! I was unlucky enough to have a sister 7 years older who had the thin, beautiful body I wanted. I used to tell her she got the looks and the brains and all I got was the fat! LOL No, I kept it down to a size 12/14 until after I married and little by little each year added a little more. Babies, life, etc. I would lose 50 and gain back 60. Lose 25, feel good about myself and slip up. Had sleep apnea, high blood pressure and lots of arthritis pain in my knees and feet. My Mom also battled her weight all her life and developed a host of problems including Type 2 diabetes. Christmas morning, 2009, we went to pick her up and she didn't answer the door. My son opened the door for me while I waited in the car. She had had a massive stroke and was lying on the floor. I had just spoken with her a few minutes before. I was with her when she passed away three hours later. THAT did it for me. I made up my mind I would do something about myself and if at all possible, it WOULDN'T be from obesity. I went to the seminar initially for lapband. My surgeon spoke of this "new" procedure that he had just begun doing and was high on it. My husband was with me and I told him I WANT THAT! He agreed but was totally against Bypass surgery as was I. Long story short - I was approved three weeks later Federal BCBS, first try, sleeved two weeks after that! Very quickly accomplished. Lost 100 lbs within 8 months. Managed to hold off most until around year two and then got lax concerning junk and grazing. Tried low carb and it just didn't do it for me long term. Found 5:2 method and gave it a try. To my surprise, within 5 weeks I have lost 18 lbs. Within 5-7 pounds of getting back to original goal and plan to go below a couple to have a true BOUNCE. Life feels great right now! I have a true sense of accomplishment again and thankful most of all for my Sleeve and the lifechanges it has allowed me to reach and hold! Love to all my fellow "sleevers!" You motivate me to be a better person!

I lost scads of hair after surgery which followed hair loss after hysterectomy and then loss of hormone replacement. Need I say, hair has never recovered! Yours will, though. I lost hair after both pregnancies and it came back. Alas, I am one of the only women I know with "male patterned baldness" on the top of my head!!!!! sigh.

How are all my buds doing? Quiet on the front. First day Fast down. 430 calories. Trying to decide if I want to even it out or not. . Hope I see a loss this week.

I've entered a lot of the things I eat regularly in my favorites and no, I go by what a pkg says.ost things I have I "guesstimate" now EXCEPT meat, high calorie stuff and nuts! Fruit weighs more than I thought too. Like a cup of watermelon. I tend to under value calories so at first really ticky about it.

Yep. I bought a scale online from amazon about 10 bucks. I was amazed how much things weigh.
