-
CGJ, I am sitting at 159-162. My goal weight is 150 and bounce between 148-153 So I need to lose at least 10 pounds. The pounds I have out on in the last four months!!! Yep, that fast!!!
-
yes! In the past month, I have been experiencing a LOT. Feels like backed up in my throat and burning chest. I never had it before surgery. Didn't have it after surgery either until I hit year four. And I'm up for the 5:2 reboot!

Before And After Gastric Sleeve Surgery Photos
Georgia replied to StacyS's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
So glad to see you again!!!!!! I've wondered many times how you've been. You were a great source for me four years ago! You look great! -
Um, IS this private now? It is showing under participated as Cathy said.

Challenge. I joined the Halloween Challenge so let's do a 5:2 Halloween Challenge ourselves! 1. Commit to 5:2 week. REAL fast days 2. Set a Reasonable goal you want to reach/achieve. Even if just to get back on track. 3. Weigh in each week. Other group does Friday. So whatever y'all decide. 4. Be connected and help motivate each other in the next month toward healthy eating and lifestyle.

Hang in! You can. I know we all are struggling in some way (well, most). Glad you are part of 5:2 and you've provided support for many of us in the past. Sending you hugs!!

I've been back on the 5:2 bandwagon for a couple of weeks and have managed to rein in the really bad junk I was consuming; hence, weight gain. Have lost back down some of the weight. Need another 5-8 pounds to be where I want to STAY. (Yeah, here I again! ????). Haven't been on BP much because the new app freezes up everytime I try to read posts on any thread. Lots of people having the issue so hopefully, there is. "Fix" soon. Anyway, let's hit it, Girls! Florinda, "Fall- new season - fresh start!"

We’re excited to announce a brand new version of our free iOS & Android app!
Georgia replied to JustWatchMe's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
Are there known issues with "lock ups" with the new app? Today mine is locking up my phone over and over such that I have to literally push phone off button until it responds. I have iPhone 5 -

Ahh, Kim! Grief is a strange thing for us mortals. Just when you think you might have turned the corner, so to speak, it comes sneeking up again. And that washstand, well, that washstand was YOURS! I remember just a little while after my Dad passed (I was a Daddy's girl big time!) I almost had a heart attack (literally) one day because I needed to SEE my Dad - anything - whatever it was - I tore through boxes until I could find the cards he had written to me. Seeing his handwriting calmed me down a little bit. Take care of yourself, my friend. Give yourself a big hug today from me!!! And, btw, what are "calming vitamins?" Melatonin or some such? I need something too. Melatonin doesnt seem to help me much. I THINK all night long.

Cathy, how is your back? I suffer from somewhat the same thing. Discs in upper cervical and lower back both bulging and spinal steno sis. You never know when that "pop" will happen (Florinda also). I wen through a really severe 3-4 months a couple years ago with rehab, drugs and shots. RIGHT before big Disneyworld vacay if you remember. Now, we are one month from Disney again with the fam gang and every time I feel a twing I feel myself tighten up! lol. I want to truly enjoy this trip since it's costing me a small fortune. . Hope yours is doing better. I've managed a couple weeks of good fast days and desperately trying to eat cleanly. I've found that I add inches straight in the stomach quickly if I put on pounds now. I don't like!!! Of course it would help if I were exercising like I was and know I should be. Just so dadgum hot here right now. Yep, that is a lame excuse. Hope everyone is having a decent Labor Day in the States and our "across the Seas" gang, Happy whatever!!!

Well, finally got myself back on track for last two weeks. have pulled off two weeks of good fast days and better "non fast" days. Amazing how just eating right changes your overall psyche (for me) and losing a few pounds motivates a body! I've figured out for me - maintenance will ALWAYS be difficult. With that said, I tend to be "that person" who reaches a goal easily, loses easily (usually - isn't it amazing how QUICKLY you can add back pounds and how SLOWLY you lose them????), and then I REWARD myself mentally which, in turn, causes me to add the "junk" back 'cause let's face it, I AM A CARB ADDICT! Ha! There! I've said it! One thing that stirs me, though, is when I feel my skirt size slipping away! Ha! Size 6/8 is AWESOME - 10 tolerable - above that NOOOOO! And this will tell you just how drastic I get - I went for annual Surgeon followup end of July - THREE WEEKS LATER, I was up almost 10 pounds! Was down four pounds from last year's visit and all blood work perfect, though. Welp, I'm back "on!" So, that's my post for the day! Best to all! (Yeah, I know - I should be able to do better at 4 years out but...life is hard sometimes! Lots of stress and "junk" (right Florinda?) So I'll just keep on keeping on! It's all good!

Feel like my surgery "expired" at 1 year
Georgia replied to Success2013's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
I am truly an "all or nothing" kind of gal. I have proven to myself once again that I CANNOT be trusted! LOL. I do well for a long time and can be really 100% but it's the maintenance that trips me up. Yes, I know exactly what to do for me but once I relax AT ALL I fall "off the wagon" completely. You mentioned you felt your surgery had expired. Nope! It hasn't. Just a very few days will show you that you still have your best tool- your sleeve, and once you eat correctly, the restriction shows up again. Junk, carbs, etc are addictions. Simply put. They always will be. Can't change that and for me, it's all about the junk. Just one candy bar isn't enough. Once I start with the junk, I crave it and will graze all day long! I'm over 4 years out now. I've reached goal, lost goal, regained and exceeded goal and continue to war! You can too. It is what it is - a lifetime challenge. Sure, they may be those who don't have any struggle but I don't think there are many. Just look at it realistically. You lost 80 pounds. You are still sleeved and have that tool. You may just have to really take yourself "in hand" (as I have to) and as Lynda said, toss the junk, weigh and track (FYE) and fight!! We're with you in the battle!!! -
I'll show you mine... (LBD's)

Wowzers!!!! You look gorgeous. -
No idea why posts are doubling! Sorry! Wishing everyone a good or Better Wednesday! I am completely exhausted after two plus weeks of 3 grand girls 4, 9 and 11! Non stop traveling back and forth to NOLA and AR but I wouldn't trade it for the world! Kim, the pics of your Moms celebration gathering were awesome. The jewelry was so sweet. She was a beauty. Florinda, be glad when you can get back to PNW and maybe sort out some stuff. Your comment "Take me Jesus" gave me a good laugh. Sheryl, so sorry for your loss. Hard to see someone pass that early. All of my other peeps, love to you.

Chimera, I had a good laugh about the low weight person comment. I SOOO related. I used to think that when somebody smaller would cry or rant about having to lose 10-15 pounds. I would always think, "I could lose that in my sleep!" Ha! I really have to learn to be happy with ME. I really want to be healthy most of all and satisfied like Coops said she has been working on. So what if I have to relose the same 5-10 pounds every year or so? It's waaaayyyy different from 100 and multiple meds!

Florinda, so sorry for your troubles. Don't know really what to say and I hate platitudes!! Ha g in there, this too shall pass, every cloud has a silver lining. Really, really!! . I think all it does is make you want to hit the person! Ha! So, just for the record, I am 60! And, yep, it really will pass. Things will get better. Maybe not the way we always think they will but life, for all it's hardness will bring you joy along the way and happiness. I'm wishing that for you, girlfriend!

Calling all veterans-Are there any benefits to the sleeve after a year or so
Georgia replied to jarodnaaron's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
yes!! I'm four+ years out. Still have restriction. Lots. Have kept the 100 pound loss off. Yes, it can be a struggle To maintain if I allow it to because I tend to eat too much junk at times but losing a few pounds here and there. If do it again tomorrow
