Brown, laughing at the imagery in my head from "the Vikings!" Ha! Five years apart! I'm amazed. Don't think I would have had the third by that time! Ha! I wanted three and after my son (hyper) decided two was plenty! lol

Oh, and I did "carb it up" over the last week with goodies!!! Fasted yesterday and right back at normal weight. So, Kim, yep you will "spark" that low again.

As mentioned by my fellow 5:2gals (FYE, Laura, Brown) most are still highly concerned with overall carbs such as "whites" (pasta, potatoes, rice) but also incorporate a balanced eating plan. For me, now that I am mostly maintaining, I enjoy whole wheat and grains like bran flakes, whole wheat pasta WITHIN small amounts but not daily and not as a staple. For me, low carb did not work to get the regain off. My body rebelled for some reason. Whereas before, I easily lost doing Atkins, at almost 3 years out I tried to lose and would lose and regain as soon as I even approached anything remotely like normal. Stumbled onto 5:2 and finally found something that for me, and others, has given us a sense of disciplined, committed lifestyle. For me, I try to eat dense protein or something like mini babybel cheese and a cup of veggie soup or chili. Sometimes protein shake too. On my feast days, I still only eat around 1100-1200 calories and just eat clean- no junk.

There was a thread on VST of people being re sleeved I read through. Most had to have sleeves reworked because they were not given correct shape originally and developed abscesses at top of stomach or too much of stretchy part of stomach remained and sleeved stretched out. -

Over time, your brain "somewhat" catches up! . At 3 1/2 years, I still tend to buy too big clothes or look at something and say, "that will NEVER fit" only to find it's too big! Our poor brains can't "see" ourselves at reality! -
Need help..........What did you do with all of your clothes that are to big!

It's so much fun now. There are always bargains! Ha! And I find WAYYYY too many of them. I now have ANOTHER closet full of L And XL regular size sweaters and size 12 skirts all way too big. I have taken up many skirts since I am a master at zipping down the side of a straight skirt in a hurry! Ha!! -
CGJ, and THAT is exactly why I am afraid! LOL. FALLING off the ski lift. Hee hee. I admire your tenacity. Too old and skeered!

In the past, I have given lots of expensive clothes to people who wanted them and never saw them worn. I did give a whole carload to a rehab/thrift store and they were very happy to get them This time I took I took all my clothes to this nice resale shop we have locally. Let me tell you, I made almost a thousand bucks over a period of 4 months!!! Expensive, plus size clothes are snatched up quickly!!!! -
Okay, it's 6:35 and I'm at 505 and forcing myself to say it's done!!! Hoping I can stick to it. . I want to eat carbs/sugar!!!! Did good all day. Was hungry but made it but when I got home, well... I did give in and eat a no bake oatmeal cookie made with Truvia. ONE.

I have failed staying on every other diet. What makes this different?
Georgia replied to bandmomtb's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You can only fail if you want to fail. VSG isn't a magic bullet like you said but it's pretty close!! lol. At least for me it was! I've lost 110 pounds and 3 1/2 years out. Still have great restriction and feel that I can truly stay slim and healthy IF I make the right food choices 90%+ of the time. I did regain about 27 pounds at around 3 years because of too many slider, junk foods. Got myself in line, found a good lifestyle for me (5:2( and lost the 27 PLUS additional 10. As Phil says, "happy, happy happy!" You can and WILL be a success! -
Good thoughts coming your way. Sounds like gas to me too.

Sarsar, I know just what you mean. As we have all kinda hinted at, Life never stands still and constantly evolves and changes and we have to manage to keep up! As Kim said, that pic will be a treasure later and your kids and THEIR kids will pull them out and laugh while you smile and try to keep the tears from running down your face like a sop! Yep, as you can tell, I've done it! Precious!!!!!! Weight- I am going to fast today if it kills me! I am truly on carb overload!! And the old sugar craving is trying to settle in! Up a couple pounds that had to end today!! Going to San Antonio next Wed to see my sister and family. A 10 hour drive and taking two grands with us. Also have one more party Sat! So I've got to kill this craving now! Good luck to all who are fasting! And as I USED to say, Keep your double chin up! We Don't have double chins anymore! Now THATS something to be happy about!!!
