Brown, I'm with you! I am at 3 1/2 years and my hair is so thin you can literally see scalp all the way through the front! I had a full Hysto in 2000 and took HRT for several years now they won't give me any and I seriously think lack of hormones, WLS has doubled up on me. I tried the vitamins, didn't do anything for me. I do take all the reg vitamins. Just bought some scalp therapy special stuff that is for thinning hair. No idea if it will work. I actually have to use the powder stuff that you "brush on" to camouflage my head!

4 Things I Wish I Would've Known Pre Op
Georgia replied to Tink22-sleeve's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The "pits"! lol. I am so with you, Girls! And since most of the time I don't pir my contacts on til I get out of the tub, I can't even SEE INTO the pit! Ha!!! -
How does one measure your body fat?
-
Oh yeah, and M2G and SarSar and Florinda, I'm like that too! If I'm not "good" I tend to ignore the scale as I do with my Amex Bill! ha!! Sheryl, now see that's what I was doing. Just "sorta" 5:2 and holding steady then BOOM, I can't seem to quit eating all day long!! Wanda, so sorry to hear about the loss of such a young adult. Senseless sometimes. Praying for your family. Your compassion shines through. Coops and Cathy. I've been following the flooding/weather in that area. Have a friend that works with a team that goes into disaster regions who may be coming to Help out. He finds out soon. It's cold here again! Smhh. Guess I should have known it would be but after 70s this weekend, got spoiled. But I DID get a mani/pedi today and it feels soooo good to have smooth heels again and pretty nails. I guess it was worth the $$85!! )

I relate to what you said. I don't think mine comes from a "should have been" feeling of loss mine right now is the feeling of what is ahead. I, too, have a really good life. Good home, husband, kids doing okay , 3 great grand kids but turning 60 and my hubs at 65 seemed to kinda push me into a restless state that I want to do stuff NOW, knowing that my "window" of great health and mobility has a timeframe but I know that I also am held right now almost resisting two grands while my daughter tries to finish nursing school. I feel like I've spent the last 10 years of my life taking care of all the others and not sure how I feel about it all I will be okay and "this too shall pass"but I have been doing the same thing. Reached my 5:2 goal, and in the last few weeks I think I have set out to sabotage myself! Old habits of "feeding" my mood crops up and I allow myself to slide into mindless carbing/snacking. Now, I am fasting tomorrow and fasted last week 2 days but I have been eating too many calories/carbs otherwise. Determined NOT to lose any more ground. Chin up. You are a great lady!!!!

Good luck to you! I know you have worked hard this past six-eight months to get where you are today!!!

Exact same thing happened to me. Once I got up to go to bathroom in the night, passed completely out and woke up with my husband standing over me hollering and I had a busted lip! (. All I remember was pitching forward and everything going black. This happened a lot! I was on BP meds and I immediately had to lower and then stop Taking as my BP was normal and then low on the meds It is a known issue especially when you sit up quickly or stand quickly. Make sure you are getting enough potassium also. Like eating. banana nuts.

Revisions: Gastric Bypass to Gastric Sleeve
Georgia replied to one_more_time's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Now, THIS is a first for me! I've heard of lap and to sleeve, lap and to RNY, Sleeve to RNY, but never RNY to sleeve!!! That's very interesting since most Drs. Consider sleeve a "first step" in many cases. And if you had acid reflux they DO RNY to correct the GERD from the sleeve. Best of luck. I hope you get some relief from the issues you were having and lose the weight you expect. -
Happy birthday, Skinny!!!!!!!

Hugs right back at you! Have a AMAZEBALLS time at your pub!

Shout out to all my 5:2 peeps! As I was reading through the posts since I've been really busy this week, the thought hit me - what a GREAT Thing this is! A worldwide group of women (and BTB if he still lurks) who have "connected" in lots of ways, sharing heartbeats, joys, sorrows and all of LIFE!!! Happy, happy weekend!!!!
-
How are you feeling? Any better now? Sure hope so. Nothin worse than having sickness drag on!!! Here's a hug and hope for a better week upcoming!

OMG! And I thought my doggy costing 750 was steep! That whole scenario is so heartbreaking! Poor little puppy dog and poor wallet for you! You def have a good heart! Praying for y'all!

Girl, I just love to read your posts because of the word phrases I don't get to hear! Like "knackered!" LOL. I feel knackered today too. Hard week! Glad you got a deserved rest. I'm booking a week at the beach last of April/first of May for just me and the Hubs!!!

Florinda, you are sounding so STRONG! I love it! And again, 26 pounds! Isn't it great?
-
Sheryl, I am with you on ^^^. I found a bunch of bargain Spring clothes at the BX. First time I've found quality stuff in a while there and ON sale! But like you, bottom 4-6. And if it's a top 10-12 or dress 10 usually. I'm pretty thin now at 139-143 and 5'8". My shoulders are wider I think even though they are somewhat bony ( wow! Did I really say that?) so like you I don't really think there is much of a way to "rearrange".

Makes me sad today! Dee sad you have been so sick. I am a doggy lover! That pup is precious! I've experienced parvovirus with a doggy. Not fun at all. I hope all is well! You sure don't need another grief for your kiddos. (And you) So busy at work this week. Managed to fast Tiesday and all day today and then are 3 donuts while working overtime with computer issues!!!!!! Oh well. Inside bounce but as Dee said, feeling all loosy goosy and OLD. lol. Ready now for Spring!!! OD, take that laptop to the other room! . He's got his Cpap on. Ha! Sounds like he wants a little babying from you. LOL
-
Excellent!!!

Yes I have a fitbit one. I was kicking butt and now, um, not so much! But Spring is coming! Ha!!! I am sending email by PM

I was sleeved with Dr Gibbs 6/4/10. 110 pounds down3 1/2 years later. Love Dr Gibbs but not much support other than office visits. Of course, I was one of first VSGs for him. Might be different now. I still see him annually and like him a lot!
