Great post, FM! I have been experiencing same shoulder and neck issues. A great exercise that PT gave me helps too. You might try it. She recommended that you do it in the morning when you shower (or when you do). You simply stand with arms joined behind your back. Rotate your head to one side and gradually lower your head with turning it back which stretches out those muscles. Rotating from side to side several times. If you have not water pouring over you while stretching them out it really helps. Glad to hear you are off the meds since LT not great for our small stomachs.

Happy birthday, Kim!!!!!! Whoo Hoo! I'm right there with you! 60 1/2 right now. I'm like you, a YOUNG friend told me the other day (lives in another state now) "Georgia, you look good! Even though you are old, you don't look it or act it or dress like it!" Well, I took that as a backhanded compliment! You gotta take them all at this stage in life! LOL Brown, I sure hope somebody videos the play! I would LOVE to see at least a part of it! All that hard work , you need more than one performance!!! Sheryl, Girl, I say you look good. Dont see anything wrong with the suit and have a cover up for when you need it. To all my "pals", love you BIG!

Lisa, I just read the sad news. I'm so sorry to hear this but I know you are glad he is not in pain anymore. Cancer is truly a horrible disease. I've lost two good friends in recent days to it also. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Praying Jesus wraps His arms of peace around you so you can rest.

Today is my FOUR YEAR SURGIVERSARY! It's hard to believe how fast these years have gone by! I'm very thankful and grateful that I was able to have VSG and it completely resolved my weight and health issues including High Blood Pressure, sleep apnea and knee/joint pain. I'm at my original goal 148-150 and even though I've hit a few "bumps" along the way (regain of 27 pounds in year 3), I've managed to get back up, figure out a way to succeed and continue on! I'm at a stage now where, knowing me, I've got to continue to make wise food choices. I tend to do really well for a while and then slowly allow junk to sidetrack me. I know by the way I feel now (tired) I am eating too many carbs and sugar! BUT - I am four years out, completely a new woman in MOST WAYS and so very thankful for this day!!!!!

Well, had a great Fathers Day lunch with the daughter and her family. The new hubs, Jeremy, has quickly become FAMILY. Truly a good soul who loves my daughter and girl. His son is here for three weeks. 15 yr old. Weston. Very sweet and good kid. The girls love him! I made a friend of mine's marinated salad. It is fabulous. Thought is post for y'all. I used Truvia blend instead of sugar. You can also cut some out if you want yours to be tarter. It is very good. And a hit!!! Great for munching on later. I actually take mine and "wash" it to remove a lot of the extra oil/sugar. Best if you make it and let it sit for several hours or overnight first. Marinated salad 1 cup water 2 cups vinegar 4 tsp dry mustard 2 tsp celery seed 2 cups sugar 2 tsp salt 1 cup oil 3 cucumbers 4 tomatoes 3 colored bell peppers 3 green bell peppers 2 onions. White n red (1 ea) Cut veggies in bite size chunks sprinkle 1/4 sugar over . Mix marinate bring to boil pour over veggies I put a heavy plate to push veggies into mix. Enjoy

I think Arethea Franklin did too (undisclosed surgery 2010 and since lost lots of weight but... -
Nope, you are not alone! I've experienced the same thing since the beginning (4 years ago!) Once I eat to where food hits a "certain spot" (I dont know how else to describe it.) then I start sneezing! 8-9 times! That's my "I know I'm full" signal. Sometimes earlier (less food) than other times depending on type of food.

I have never been a shake person but Kim told me about these a while back and they are GOOD! Only 2 net carbs and 17 grams protein. Best thing though is they are soy protein. (Lactose intolerant)

Okay, been there. (Mindset). I did regain about 30 pounds but used 5:2 toget it off. How far out are you? If not a year, go back to basics and really eat cleanly and log it all. I really believe you can do this!!!!!! We've got ya!!!

So glad you are back, Cathy! Light pipe. Interesting!!!! I just got back on track (mostly this week too. Summer here and I don't like the way I feel right now. Isn't it amazing how your mindset shifts when you know you aren't eating right? I immediately FEEL fat! Ha! Good luck on finishing all your house decorating. Send some pics when you are finished b

What a great response from Tino, Sheryl! Isn't it amazing what a little sincere compassion and love from someone can do for you? Hope this new relationship really works for you! Yes, what does SMO stand for, Denise?

Oh, honey!,, it's been the NORM for me since the beginning ! Once a certain amount of food "hits" a certain spot I begin to sneeze. Usually at least 8-9 TIMES! Yep, always! Drives my husband nuts. Like I can stop it! Lol. And the people keep saying, "Bless you"', "goodness". "Wow". Bahaha

That is way cool! -
What's stopping me is me. As stated, it's temporary. I think all of us, at some point, reach a "tired of it" stage. I've been around long enough to know again, as stated, this too shall pass. I've not changedclothes sizes, still an 8, and I'll continue to do what I need to.

No reason to be disappointed at yourself but TELLING yourself that and BELIEVING it are two entirely different things, right? And I think you are probably right about using other things to mask hidden feelings of self doubt, Loneliness and just plain ole pity party. And yep, LOTS of people much worse off, unfortunately, that doesn't help me feel better either. LOL. You are doing all the right things, still engaged in life and keeping busy. If Tino is a good man, he will understand. If not, well, ... Man, I would not want to go through relationship crap again! Hard enough with the guy I've been "happily" married to for 40 years! Hahaha. Wonderful man but he's still a man! LOL

Sorry to hear this, Sheryl. Here's what I've learned. Depression doesn't always NEED a reason. It just comes on sometimes. Hormone imbalance, change in circumstances, delayed reaction to something like your extreme PS. Take your meds! They are your friend right now. Truly. I'd you are like me, you think you should be able to Handle it without help. We are take charge people and used to making things happen and when we can.
