Queens here. Sleeved @ Bellevue by Drs Parikh and Saunders. -
i've never been but ironically a friend suggested it for our friend's bridal shower that we're doing in October. I'd heard of it but the menu was a concern to me. But it's a few months off and it will be for brunch.

So I just had my 2 mos follow up after enduring another one week stall I am 28 lbs down since surgery. 72 down overall. So i ask him about Proteins vs carbs etc. He told me not to worry about that, and that I should be eating the least amount of calories a day that fill me up. He said its all about your caloric intake. I am so confused ughhhhhhhh But after stalling...I will try it. But he told me not to worry and that the weight will come off.

So Much Conflicting info
samantha209 replied to samantha209's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thats true Miss Diva....I have always lost weight counting calories in the past with Weight Watchers for example. Even if I ate "bad foods" but stayed within the calorie constraints, I lost weight Not to say that is the way to do it, and balance is definitely key. But there definitely isnt only one way. Its cool to know what works for different people though -

lmaooo at 1000 cals in m&ms Lil Miss Diva. I get you. It's definitely a lot of experimentation and trial and error. I just find that i am stalling like every two weeks or so. Maybe I should stick with what I've been doing and stop looking for a quick fix. -

He definitely said I need to up my exercise. I dont think he meant neglect protein, but just not to worry about restricting carbs. For instance I love oatmeal and chobani greek yogurts but i dont eat those cuz of the carbs...i am gonna try those for the next week and see what happens...lol -

I know I have been guilty of this as well...and sometimes you just want a personalized answer. But a lot of generic questions have already been asked and can be found using the search function....is it me

I am posting this here because I am not a success YET, but i have hit the 70lb mark today! The scale is moving again and I am ecstatic. I have started walking at a local park and I am sure that is helping. I feel better than I have in a long while, and I have quite a ways to go! Loving my sleeve Attached are some pics starting at my bffs wedding a week before my consultation, along my 6 mos pre-op diet and about 2 weeks ago which was approximately 6 weeks out. As you can see I am a camera ***** and I am sure I will enjoy taking pics even more now
