Between eating what you should, and what you want? And when I say this, I am not even referring to splurging on Macdonalds, but more so, picking the more Protein rich food versus something which isn't as high in protein, but isn't bad per se. I know my friend said she stuck to her "diet" hardcore until she reached goal, then slacked up a lil Do you reserve weekends, for a "special treat' or only on special occasions/holidays?

I agree office temptations are hard...especially these folks, Pasta, ribs, fried chicken you name it! But i look at it like I have to do it. There is no room for failure, especially not this early out. I don't think the walks are a bad idea. And ppl commenting is definitely great motivation. Keep up the great work!

I think its all relative unless your talking strictly measurements, b/c my bite and your bite may not be the same. Also ppl say 2 spoon fuls, do you mean a tsp, a Tbsp, a baby spoon, how fast are you eating etc. I am a month out today, and on purees, and I can eat 4 oz of soft foods. I measure all my portions at this point...i graduate to solids on Saturday so we'll see.

Constiaption and weight stalls

with the dieters tea how often do you drink that? I know it can be a little harsh on the stomach, only reason I ask. I use Milk of Magnesia when I feel really backed up. -
THANKS...it seems so far away...but I know i will get there eventually. 33 lbs to go. then onto the next mini goal.

I am gonna head to the gift shop at work and see if they have any of your suggestions. Thanks guys. I think variety helps to spice things up, and keeps you focused better.

And I feel like I am losing pretty slowly....I know about the stalls etc but it is pretty frustrating. I lost about 44 lbs pre op and only 15lbs since. 9lbs within the first 10 days and about 6lbs since. I will say that I have lost 4 lbs in the past week, so maybe it is picking up. I have decided to make a conscious effort this past weekend to up my Protein to at least 60 every day, and I lost almost 2 lbs over the weekend. One thing I will say is that I get 4oz down with no problem and that worries me because I dont know if that is affecting my weight loss. Ever since purees/mushies started, I have eaten with no issues...no blockage, or throwing up A question about stalls...does it mean u stop losing or potentially gain, or does it account for slow loss as well? BTW I start regular foods this weekend...so i wonder how that will affect it all. Thanks for any input. I gotta get this scale moving. -

I am still on mushies...and again I am so confused with whether we should be eating 4 ozs weighed or measured ....i have been going with measured because it is mainly soft/ mushy food...but for solids...i presume weighed and like u said i am sure I will be full on 2 ozs cuz the other day I made a poached egg and it was a little over 2 ozs and I was full....this is such a learning experience...who said it was the easy way out -

How many calories are you eating?
samantha209 replied to crosswind's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
600-800 cals most days I hover between 650-750, especially when focused on my protein intake -

Can anyone else eat a good amount of food at a month out??
samantha209 replied to Hip's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I totally understand how u feel....and i know reading what ppl write on here it seems like after 2 spoons everyone is full.... It also sux because there is so much variation in what docs and nuts say to do. i was told i should be able to eat 4 ozs of food and it should take me half hr to 45 mins. 3 meals no Snacks. It amazes me that people get to eat snacks...i am jealous. but i guess it makes sense that I should be able to eat 4 ozs if i am not eating in between. I just had lunch a 4oz tupperware container of turkey chili and I sprinkled cheese on top for extra Protein. Took me about 17 mins to eat. And I am full. Not uncomfortable but full...but truth be told...if I had more food in front of me I could probably keep going... I almost want to throw up just to see what my limitations are...but again, everyone says solids changes the game....we'll see. i am losing, but slowly so far... -
