So So Hungry...this Is Embarassing
Oopsseedaisy replied to hope2Bfitand40's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was hungry at first too and read that sometimes it takes time for the Ghrelin to leave your system. That is the hormone that tells your brain that you are hungry. Give your system time to adjust to everything you just did to your body. I hope this helps! -

Using Straws
Oopsseedaisy replied to Itsanewdaycassandra's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor didn't mention straws at all. I don't see how it increases the amount of air in your stomach. I think the extra air stays in your mouth. -

How Much Time Should I Take Off Work After The Surgery?
Oopsseedaisy replied to Jessica_R143's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The time off constraint has a lot to do with mental acuity. You might be taking a lot of naps in the beginning. I did. I have a desk job that is as inactive as it comes. I returned to work on day 11 post op. I could have returned before, but I was out of town for my Dad's birthday. I had a very easy time recovering from surgery. I had no pain and took no pain meds at all. Check with your doctor for recommendations. -
Congrats to you!!!!
