    Surgeon wants me to get back down from 700-800 calories to only 600 per day. Sooooo I'm trying even though I feel better eating at 700-800 daily. you know what? Ever! 3 months out: B - Fage Greek yogurt and three strawberries S - coffee with cream L - 2 oz chicken with sauteed mushrooms S - string cheese and 5 special k crisps D - Fish or chicken of some sort (going out) vites- Done! water- working it! exercise- going to see Rock of Ages so I'm exercising my right to be entertained... I hope!

    her recipes are seriously awesome! I made the leftover broccoli fritters last night and they were de-licious! eggface rocks!
  3. OMG! Tonight I made the pistachio Protein mini muffin recipe from Eggface and it was incredibly delicious! I used cottage cheese instead of oil and they came out moist and amazing. My fiance said they are his favorites so far. Here is the link: http://theworldaccor...nd-wrap-up.html Attached is a picture of the cute yummy darlings that I baked up tonight. Eggface's fun muffin/donuts recipes are really keeping my carb and sugar cravings to a minimum. I calculate the stats as: serving: 1 muffin 43 calories 2g fat 3g carbs 4g protein Rockin' my sleeve with some help from my mini muffin pan!

    B - ham and turkey roll ups & non-fat Misto L- 3 oz grilled chicken breast, 1/4 cup split pea Soup & 4 french fries! S - Lite string cheese & 7 special K chips D - pulled pork & cabbage Vites - Done! Water - yep! Exercise - Water aerobics tonight!

    Pistachio ProteIn Muffins

    I found the mini muffin pans at Bed Bath and Beyond but they also have some at Walmart. I ordered the mini donut pan from Amazon.com which I imagine also has mini muffin pans! Good luck and hope that you can find them soon. Mini muffins and donuts have sure helped me with my carb cravings... and Eggface bites recipes are awesome breakfast/snacks!

    There is this bright shiny orb in the sky... I think they call it sun... Finally! It's been a long, cold and wet San Francisco winter... (3 mo's out) B: coffee, 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 2 diced up strawberries L: Left over chicken with cashews and broccoli from last night S: Diced tomato, cucumber and 3 mini mozzarella de buffalo's in olive oil and balsamic vinegar D: TBD - going out with friends vites- done! water- working it... exercise- not tonight dear...

    I'm off from work today! Yay!! 3 mos out - in experiencing my first stall. Just keeping on and hoping my body releases the pounds again soon. Pre B: coffee and milk B: 2 egg whites, a soy sausage patty, 1/2 low carb tortilla L: 1/4 cup crab salad, 1/4 cup soy Beans and 1 small tofu pouch D: Prime rib S: TBD Vites- done! Water - 16 oz and counting... exercise- Belly dancing class

    I woke up feeling a bit saucy this morning at 4:30am... so I woke my fiance up and started this day right! TMI? sorry but this is just one of the amazing (ahem: awesome!) changes that I'm experiencing since surgery! B: Nonfat Misto and 3oz chicken L: 2oz steak and 1/4 roasted fennel bulb S: Steamed broccoli D: Scallops and shirataki noodles (tofu noodle substitute) S: Pistachio muffin; cottage cheese vites- done! water- working it... exercise - elliptical planned for after work

    Tried Zumba this weekend - way fun although I'm a total spaz! Thinking of trying belly dancing tonight... wish me luck! B: Nonfat misto, Greek yogurt w/wheat germ L: 2 oz baked salmon, 2 prawns, 1 slice polenta, and 1/2 cup of Caesar salad S: lite string cheese D: Steak S: Pistachio Protein muffin vites- Done! water- working it exercise - maybe belly dancing... we shall see...

    Trader Joe's has almond meal. Finding pistachio pudding was a chaLlenge... Safeway had it stocked for st. Patty's day. I used roasted salted pistachios on top to add a salty crunch. Yummy!

    Tried Zumba today...

    Sounds awesome! I've been thinking about trying Zumba but wanted to wait until I lost more weight. You have convinced me to give it a try... I found a class on Sunday morning and I think I'll check it out! Thanks!!

Water - more like coffee, tea and crystal light planned for the day! exercise - not yet... maybe a walk tonight with my sweetie

    T.O.M... ugh. B.1 - Non-fat Misto B.2 - 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 2 large strawberries (diced) L - Tuna salad, soy chips, 1 PB Protein muffin (Eggface rocks!) D - 3 oz pulled pork, steamed cabbage S - Mozzarella salad (diced tomato, diced cucumber, basil and 2 small mozzarella balls mixed with 1/4 tsp olive oil and balsamic vinegar.) S.2 edamame vites- done! Water - workin' it! exercise... hmmmm.... ugh... see above.

    I order a bowl of crab salad - what they use for a California roll, edamame and sashimi. I eat about 1/4 cup of crab and same edamame and maybe 2 oz of fish. Always have leftovers for lunch the next day! Yummy.

    Met with my nut this morning. He thinks I should up my Protein to 80g's and stick with less then 600 calories. He says my carbs are good and fat is a bit high. I've been stalled this week and my surgeon is expecting me to lose 5 pounds per week! Yeah... Anyway: B: Breakfast bites (Eggface) and 1/4 cup cottage cheese L: 2 oz chicken, 1/4 cup edamame/lentil salad, and 4 white tortilla chips S: Clementine and lite string cheese D: Salad and either chicken or salmon patty S: Mini donut (Eggface) Vites- done! Water - working on it exercise - hmmmmm.....

    B: coffee and then Yves ground soy with light mozzarella melted on top L: Spinach salad, 2 oz of chicken, edamame/lentil salad (1/4 cup) S: lite string cheese; 1 clementine D: 3 oz pot roast (yummy!) S: mini-donut or cottage cheese... or both! Vites- done water- working on it - have had 20 oz of coffee; 16 oz of tea... ugh... so hard to get all my Water in! exercise- 1/2 hour on the elliptical before work! Yes indeedy!

    I just weighed in for the week and lost less then 1 pound... is this the beginning of my first stall? I'm starting my 9th week and this second month has been a slooooow losing one. I stick with 600-700 calories a day and 60-70 g's Protein, 25-40 g's carb and low fat. Here's my planned menu for this cold and rainy San Francisco day: B: ham and fat free cream cheese roll ups - big ole coffee with creamer (not at the same time of course!) L: Salmon patty over cooked cabbage and 1/4 cup of Edamame and Lentil salad (thank you Eggface!) S: 1/4 low fat cottage cheese and sliced cucumber D: planning on sushi with my sweetie! Snack: Mini donut (again - Eggface... you rock!) Vitamins - yes! Water - ummm....trying! Exercise - not this morning

    Mini Donuts - Eggface Rocks!

    I found the mini donut pan on Amazon but I think you could use the mini muffin pan and it should work! I decorated half of them and put the other half in the freezer... my fiance loves them! He also loves the egg bites and the ricotta bake. I like the Peanut Butter muffins in the morning... Her website has helped me feel like I can still eat cakey things without all the carbs. I also make her edamame and lentil salad all the time! I can only eat a small amount but it makes me feel as good as it tastes. Yay Eggface and yay my sleeve! I loves it!
  25. I am 25 days post op and I have a horrid cold. My nose is unbelievably stuffed up and I can barely breath. I've been taking childrens Tylenol but I need some advice: is it ok to take cold medicine? Nyquil or Mucinex, cough syrup or a decongestant? Do you have any other suggestions? I want to be mindful of my new sleeve and not take anything that will hurt me. Thanks!
