  1. I was sleeved in May of 2010. It has been one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself. Unfortunately, I haven't lost any weight in 11 months, and I still have 40+ to go, and I have gained back 8 pounds this past month. For some crazy reason, I can't seem to get back on track. Not only that, but I can't remember what the track is! Is there anyone out there that can give me a little boost on where to start? I also need ideas for meals, etc. I am interested in having someone to talk to about this. I feel alone, and i know I shouldn't. Thanks for being here!
  2. Hey girl! We definitely need to get together and chat. send me a message on times and dates that you have available, and we will meet up. Maybe for a walk or a decaf soy latte "skinny"? Let me know.
  3. Hi all! I have lost 57 pounds since my surgery on May 29th. I know that is a great number, but I am bummed. I see how others that were at my starting weight or less losing way more than I am. I really need a boost of encouragement. The refrigerator is calling my name, and I am afraid I will start binging like I have done for so much of my life when I am stressed or depressed. Help!
  4. weight loss has been so slow the 5 weeks. I am getting so frustrated. Help needed!

    Need advice

I would like to say "ditto" to all of you. I am also in a stall, and I am starting to get worried. I try not to think about it, but it is right in front of you. I am falling back into my old habits due to the lack of success in the past few months. The monkey on my back that craves chocolate (not choc. protein shakes) and tortilla chips. I know I will get through this too. I am hoping that the weather here in North Texas gets cooler soon (106 yesterday) so I can enjoy walking more and family activities. Also, school just started along with fall sports, so my life will become more hectic than ever. At the office, I only keep light cheese, protein shakes, and peanut butter at my disposal. This keeps me honest. Hugs sent your way, and thank you for allowing me to feel the frustration without guilt. I am not alone in this journey, and I thank you for that.

BTW, have I mentioned how much I love this thread! So inspiring! Keep it up people... I will also be a "skinny bitch" soon. It will be nice to add the adjective to my nick name! LOL!

So happy for you! I know the feeling. I read somewhere that for every pound you weigh is 3 to 4 pounds of pressure on your knees. I can tell when I walk if I have lost more weight! Crazy!

I have finally hit the 50 pound weight loss! I had to clean out all the pants in my closet that were too big. What a great feeling trying to find a consignment store for plus size so I can buy smaller sizes. What a feeling!
  9. Thanks everyone for your responses. I am starting to feel better, and I think Jachut is right. To them, I am still fat. This is the point that I would normally give up, but with the sleeve there is no turning back. I have never been more proud of myself and feel like this is it for me. I may have finally kicked my food addiction. I don't think about it all the time like I used to. Thank you everyone for encouraging words and support. I love this site. No judgement, just love. Thanks everyone!
  10. Okay, I am having a pity party tonight. I am down pounds as of this morning and only 6 weeks out. I was so excited to see some networking friends of mine at a luncheon. I haven't seen them in at least 3 months. Unfortunately, NO ONE NOTICED! Talk about burst my bubble. Why is it that people at the office notice, but no one at the luncheon did. I was even the speaker. I mean I was standing in front of them for 30 minutes.... still nothing... :scared0: I am trying so hard not to cry or get depressed over this, but I can't help it. :sad0:

    10 weeks post op

WOW! How do you have the energy to walk 10 to 15 miles a week. I am so exhausted and tired I can barely get in 5. Please tell me it gets better! :willy_nilly:

    Tiredness

I am 4 weeks out today, and I am having the same problem. No energy. I don't know how not to go 100%, and I am finding myself useless by mid-day. I went to my primary today for blood work, and she gave me a B-12 shot. Maybe that will help! She mentioned that it will take 6 to 8 weeks to get back to normal.
  13. How have you been? Update!

  14. Hi, I'm doing quite well. I feel I may have pulled an inside stitch or something when pushing some stretchers at work. I'm calling Sandy to see if she'll give me a binder to use while I'm at work. I was on a stall, but after gaining a couple lbs. back, I've lossed those 2 + 2lbs more. Finally, I was getting worried. I'm so sorry to hear you've had such a time!!! Continue to take it One day at a time and sip, sip, sip,! Send me a line and share how you are doing, please! Sheryl

  15. Hey girl! Just checking in to see how you are doing. I would love to hear about your progress. Sorry, I didn't make it to the support group. I did too much and Dr. Nick put me back in bed for 24 hours. Not fun. Better now. I have a hard time not going a 100%.
