    Cabin Fever

I am going to get out of the house today and go to one of the support group meetings tonight as well. Daytime tv is driving me nuts. I am convinced Price is Right is fixed. Anyway, a lesson I learned today was not to take all your Vitamins at once, I feel gross now, I need to space them out. I am also taking some vitamins back today, doctor said it was ok to take normal ones and not the liquid or chewable since I find them gross. I feel pretty good otherwise, no pain.

    The negative people

So today on facebook I received a message from a guy I have known since 7th grade and we always kept in touch. He asked what surgery I had and I told him and he went off on me saying I took the easy way out. He told me that none of my medical issues would get resolved which we all know is horsecrap. I just let him go on and on, I keep wanting to delete him. wtf

Best way to sleep the first few days post op?

I had the ball and so glad, I slept on my side, Im am a side sleeper anyway, I loved that ball, no pain, its numbs your stomach muscles so you have no pain.

    Better Day Today

Nausea finally gone, bowels are moving. Its funny to hear the new sounds as liquid goes down to the new stomach. I feel better, guess the 3rd day really is the worse as they say. I had cream of wheat with splenda and fat free milk, non fat yogurt and a sugar free fudgesickle. No pain and my pain pump was finally empty, that was annoying to carry around but for a good cause. Been drinking fruit punch crystal lite as well, Vitamins start tomorrow. I am a bit moody though. I am thinking our hormones are going crazy.

Pre Op Diet Coming to a Close

lol no I am not trying to justify my cheating on kickbacks. I have read other pre op diets used by others on here that made a bit more sense and seemed more realistic and less yucky then optifast.

Pre Op Diet Coming to a Close

I have to say I cheated a lot on Optifast -- jealous of the other people who can have a meal with their diets before surgery. I am being good the last few days here as much as I can, but I really want a chipotle burrito. Does the liver really shrink that drastically? As much money as this costs 300 bucks for two weeks, I wonder how much of a kickback the doctors office gets. I am excited and nervous for surgery later this week.

    Scared of "going under"

Defintely ask for the pre op cocktail - its fantastic - I told everyone I loved them apparently when I had mine twice. I have been under general twice and heavy sedation twice. I think thats why I am not scared for this. Just make sure they do all the pre op surgical testing and you should be good to go. Good Luck and remember valium is your friend

    Now I did it

wow - what a nightmare but I find it insane the tech refused to come in, he could be sued for malpractice if something goes wrong and I hope it doesn't. I hope it comes out soon painlessly for you. Is there another hospital for you to go to?

    Not Gonna Lie

Granted since mixing the shakes with the Magic Bullet makes it better. I am in hell with this diet. I am hungry -- I cheated last night again with a slice of pizza. Two weeks of this is literally going to suck. I know its for the greater good, but this really sucks. Sorry for the vent

    The Magic Bullet is Awesome

I used the magic bullet with my Optifast this morning - so much more tolerable. However I cheated last night and got a chicken sandwich from buffalo wild wings, I was literally starving. They should do introduce you to optifast a better I think and not just cold turkey no food. Today I have sugar free Jello with me, so it should help I hope.

    The Magic Bullet is Awesome

I have a blender as well. I like this because its fast and easy cleanup. It also comes with the 4 cups with lids -- so I pour the Optifast in with ice and a couple of seconds on the magic bullet and its good to go. I am friggin hungry though. It isn't that filling all day long even with Jello

    Nail Polish

So I had my pre op surgical nurse phone call this morning and I ask her about my nails - I have gel ones, she said for this surgery it isn't necessary to remove polish or my gel nails. Strange how everywhere is different.

    Optifast Hell Day One

Started Day One Optifast -- not thrilled. I am not full and I am starving - I am so tempted to walk over and get a turkey sandwich. The strawberry is ok but leaves a nasty aftertaste in your mouth. The chocalate is the best. I try the Soup tonight. I am allowed sugar free Jello - going to buy that tonight. Two weeks of this nightmare - I am going to be a b***h on Wheels

    Optifast Hell Day One

I am going to be good too -- my doctor makes you use optifast and I had spent 300 bucks for a two weeks supply. I would be happy drinking muscle milk all day long.
  24. I wrote a really good post and it disappeared. Everything Pre Op is done -- drinking the Barium for the Upper GI was gross. Tonight I am having a Giant Steak for dinner. Tomorrow begins two weeks of Optifast. They did say I could have sugar free Jello and sugar free pops so thats cool. They gave me chocalate and strawberry - not a vanilla fan at all.

    Pre Op Testing Done

I am all done with my blood work, ekg, upper GI, chest xray and abdominal ultrasound. I start Opti fast tomorrow - yay haha. At least they said I can have crystal light and sugar free jello.. The Upper Gi was a trip -- drinking the barium, which was only really two gulp fulls. The funny part was the shot of Water mixed with pop rock type substance you have to take a quick shot of. The radiologist was super cool and I saw some of the stuff on the screen -- pretty neat. All I have left is one more nutrition class that is like 3 hours, one more visit with the surgeon and on June 30 - getting my sleeve on. I just like how thorough the doctors are being checking everything out.
