    Oh well

My surgery was the 11th of January. You are right, I didn't notice much of a restriction after the first fill but the second was a different story. The first fill was 6 cc's and my second was 1.5. When I had the placement done, my doctor used the large band (14cc's) and I was told that no one ever goes over 11 though. I can tell the restriction but then again I just had mine done last Thursday (3-10) and am now on phase two of the diet, patiently awaiting the day to eat regular solid food again, lol! Will Power is a difficult thing to find when one never had it to begin with. I look at it more as the positive benefit out weighs the negative aspect! Have a great day! Shannon

    Greek Yogurt

I have found that the Greek yogurt has the consistency of sour cream. What I have also found is that the Chobani Greek yougurt has 14 g. of protein and doesn't taste as horrible as some of the others. They have peach, blueberry, strawberry, honey, black cherry and plain. No it's not the best but it does provide the biggest benefit we need... the protein... Here's to better tasting! Shannon
  3. Hi everyone! My name is Shannon and I was banded 1-11-2011. Since then I have lost roughly 30lbs. My surgeon was Dr. Metz and I will be forever grateful to him and his staff for the help they have given me! I have been large all of my life and have tried the pills, shakes, stravation, diets and all of the fads as well. Nothing seemed to help or if it did it never worked very long because it always came back! Weight Watchers would work for a while but the difficulty there was that I was still allowed sugar and that has always been my down fall. I have a sweet tooth that won't quit. Now I find myself reading labels with more caution and watching what goes in & how often. Before surgery my knees hurt constantly and exercise was difficult, now moving is easier but the weather still plays havoic with my knees and can make certain movements difficult. My pre-surgery weight was 294.2, so I still have a long way to go! So far no major set backs and I hope it only gets better from here on out! Shannon
