Thanks for the honest answer. I have always loved good food and I guess it's hard to imagine not being able to eat hardly anything. I guess I just need to remember that it is somewhat temporary as Tiffikins says she can pretty much eat whatever she wants - just in smaller portions at one year out. I know I can't continue to weigh what I weigh and be healthy.

Had my preop appointment with Dr. H last Wednesday. On my liquid diet now - surgery scheduled for next Wednesday (22nd). Am sacred and nervous. Hoping I don't chicken out. Do you really love your sleeve???

Congratulations on your first 40 pounds! That is amazing. Glad to hear your drain is out and it wasn't too bad. Hang in there - I'm thinking you will feel better every day, especially as that scale goes down! How much are you hoping to loss? Not that it matters, cuz anything we can lose is awesome! I would like to lose about 165 pounds. Sounds a bit overwhelming! Take care & stay in touch.

Glad to hear you are cleared for all exercise, but....I meant - Did you have to do a cardio clearance before your surgery?

OMG - I just saw - you are over 100 lbs lost! Congratulations! You are doing AMAZING!!! You must feel so much better. I can't wait to get this weight off and be able to move again! BTW - Love your new picture!

Hope you are feeling better. Walk and move - I hear that really helps with those nasty gas pains. (I'm preop so no real experience to share with you.) Just wanted you to know I'm sending good vibes your way and hoping you are feeling better!

When is your surgery? I know it is coming up. Mine is Dec. 22 and I am needing to lose about the same and you. I am planning to start on South Beach today in hopes of jump starting my weight loss and getting my head in the right place!! Renee

I am scheduled for surgery Dec 22 and am wondering if my mind is where it needs to be also. I have attempted to do a low carb/protein diet for the past couple weeks and can't seem to stay on it. Am wondering if I need to be re-thinking my surgery?? I have a two week liquid diet prior to surgery, buy my biggest concern right now is why I can't stay focused and do this low carb/protein diet? I have been eating better, but can't seem to give up the carbs. -

I'm right there with you as my surgery is Dec. 22! My mother-in-law is cooking and taking care of dinner at her house so hopefully I can just rest and recover. I have to be back at work on Jan 3 so will have 12 days off. Sure hope I am okay to return to work (desk job). I finally have the date and am excited, nervous and not sure what else??? Renee -
