  1. I, too have been told not to lose too much weight. For my insurance the sleeve is only covered at a high BMI so I have to be sure to stay above that. It seems so counterintuitive! Luckily I don't have to gain anything but I'm not going at it (losing) hardcore either. Since I'm still down about 40 pounds from last fall I tend to justify my lack of "diet" now with that loss. Good luck!
  2. I get the point in that your FB profile pic would automatically update here, etc and as a Techno geek it sounds neat but I'm with everyone else in that the sleeve is not something that I am comfortable discussing with everyone - to the point (for now) that I'm not even posting identifying information on here (non-members can see posts) and I don't want identifying pics from my FB on here. I'm sure I'll feel differently once I've been here a while or after I actually get sleeved but even then I will not be integrating with other sites. Thanks for the option, though.

Thanks so much for the great info. My husband is a fitness nut and he thanks you as well.

Has anyone gotten insurance to pay?

When I was researching banding a few years ago, I heard that my insurance, Highmark BCBS (formerly Mountain State BCBS) will pay for some things with the proper documentation even though my policy says no plastics. I have just recently started on my sleeve journey but have made a point of mentioning rashes under my breasts and fat roll for future reference. Like Tiffykins, however, I'll wait both for final weight loss and the possibility of future pregnancies to explore it fully. I just figure it's never too early to start documentation.
