My surgeon requires NO MAKE UP,NO COLOGNE, NO NAIL POLISH, so I just figured no acrylic nails, and NO JEWERLY. I was like DANG how am I suppose to look good for surgery. I looked a hot mess. LOL. Deb

My surgeon does one while you are still on the operating table, then the hospital (per Doc's orders) does one the next day after surgery. Just for my own piece of mind I would want the leak test performed at least once. Deb

Pounds to Drop a Clothing Size

Same here. When I started out at 321 pounds it took a good 40-50 pounds before I HAD to but some clothes. Also, it took 50 pounds before peeps even notice I was losing weight. Now that I weight 180 pounds it takes about 10 pounds before I drop a size. Deb -

Sick / Cold 4 Days Before Gastric Sleeve Surgery

Dude, sorry about the cold. At one point I thought my surgeon would not cancel surgery unless you had a fever, but a friend who was scheduled with same surgeon as I had. Had her surgery canceled becuz of the congestion of the cold. So only your surgeon knows for sure. I think the best thing to do would be to call your surgeon's office and tell them what's going on. Maybe they can give you some advice or maybe even a scrip. Good luck, I am rooting for you. Keep us posted. Deb -
