    just getting started

Hi Kim, Good morning to you :-) Sounds like you are off to a great start. I was 321 when I started my journey. I went on my two week pre-op diet on Aug. the 3rd and lost 16 pounds. When I had my surgery on August 17th I was 305 pounds. As of yesterday morning I am 198.2 pounds. I feel super and can drink and eat anything in moderation. I definitely try to watch my carbs, but you are so early out you don't need to worry about that now. Just concentrate on your fluids and Protein. Good luck!!! Deb
  7. KUDOS!!!! Outstanding work. Deb
  8. I just try to stay within my nutritional guidelines and drink plenty of H2O. Recently I had a job position change at my work. I am lots more physical so of course that helps. Good luck baby girl. The first couple months are the hardest then it's gets easlier.

  9. Baby girl for the most part I try to weigh and record my weight just once a week. Tho if I know I have had a super week I might take a sneak peek early. LOL.

  17. Yes I have lost a total of 116 pounds since I started my journey. Sometimes I see it and sometimes I don't, but recently I see it more than not. When my son came to town he was blown away. As a matter of fact he said something kinda hurtful even tho he didn't mean to. He said it's kinda like you are not my mom anymor. I said "Aww baby I am still the same person inside just different on the outside

    Just because

You look great as usual. I love the new hair style and sweater dress. They both make you look bold and sassy. Thanks for sharing and keeping everyone motivated!! Deb
  19. My condolences to you about the passing of your brother.

  20. It definitely depends on what kind of job you have. I was off for 2 weeks and felt good about going back to work, but I work a desk job. There are of course some no lifting over 5-10 pounds restrictions to following for several weeks after. I was back to full capacity in 8 weeks as I am required to be able to lift 75 pounds if needed. Deb
  21. Ditto, Just table... no treadmill. Deb
  22. Love the new avatar pic. You look soooo skinny!! GOTTA LOVE THE SLEEVE!!

  23. I just now noticed your new pic. Sooo pretty!!

  24. I think it is doable if you are following a high Protein, low carb program. Which is what my surgeon and nut recommend. What kind of nutrtional guidelines did your nut or surgeon give you. My surgeon said the first six months is known as the honeymoon phase. Meaning you will lose most of your weight in the first six months. After that it slow down remarkablely. Good luck!! Deb
  25. Congratz on getting a surgery date. I think you will LOVE your sleeve!!! Deb
