Breathing tubes???? We had breathing tubes. LOL. Seriously I do not remember a breathing tube at all. So no pain on that account. Yes dry mouth which they gave me ice chips for later that nite. No gas pain either. The only think that was a slight concern for me was when I was in the recovery room my temperature was below normal and they keep me a little longer than the other patients. Other patients were being wheeled out left and right. I knew something was not right then so I asked the nurse and that's when she told me my was temperture was below normal and I had to stay in recovery until it was. It took about a 1/2 hr. to 45 min. Then I was good to go to my room. Good luck and stay positive. YOU WILL LOVE YOUR SLEEVE !!!! Deb

Hey baby girl. The first month after surgery I lost about 40 pounds. It looks like I am averaging about 23 pounds a month right now. As I become closer to my goal I am sure it will be an average of about to 10 pounds a month. August is my I year anniversary and I hope to be at my goal of 140 pounds.

I enjoy being a GIRL. I got my hair done and my nails did. Then went to Macy's, Sears and Burlington Coat Factory. I am wearing size L and size 14 in jeans. Did I mention I enjoy being a girl and I LOVE MY SLEEVE.

Thanks for sharing your story Barbara. I love it when vets tell their stories, so they can help and inspire the newbies. I myself am 5 1/2 months out and I definitely can tell the difference in how much more I can eat from when I first had surgery. I still have about 50 or so pounds to lose before my one year surgerversary in Aug. Wish me luck!!! Again Congratz and keep on keeping on!!! THE SLEEVE TOTALLY ROCKS :D :D :D .
