    OK.. huge stall... but what can I say? I have picked up my exercise and started the couch to 5K and I am tracking my food more carefully.   3. Remember this isn't about one meal or one slip up, it is about a lifestyle change. With that said... one doughnut one day won't hurt you... what will hurt you is a slip back in to old habits. A wise man who I met along this journey told me, "It isn't what you did, it is what you did after you did what you did." Did you eat crap the whole day? Are you going to eat crap today? Probably not. Keep up the good work and don't let one slip get you off track!!

    Slim fast

    Low Carb slim fast was an option given to me by my surgeon. I found it at Sam's Club. Although... it doesn't have as much protein as many protein drinks available on the market.

  8. It is a matter of BMR... Basal Metabolic Rate At 180 pounds, 47 years old, female I need about 1500 calories a day to maintain my current weight while being totally sedentary. If I am moderately active I need about 2200 calories to maintain my weight. At 130 pounds, I need 1290 calories sedentary, and 1900 if moderately active. SOOOO... Your body will need fewer calories when you reach goal so you just need to make sure you get in about the right amount so you are not at a calorie deficit when figuring your activity calorie need and your intake calorie need. I recommend taking a look at this page to figure out your BMR http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/ Good luck!

    Post-Op Hunger Poll

    I occasionally feel hunger, but more often I just feel empty, like I need to eat. More often I crave food if I smell something really yummy or am in a situation that used to trigger eating.

    Need to refocus so I don't freak out:-)

    One thing that really helped me was to calculate my BMR... that is the amount of calories your body requires to maintain it's current weight. Try this site http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/ I was amazed at how much lower it was after losing nearly 100 pounds. Be sure to keep your calories around your BMR and you shouldn't gain weight. As for food... I was told to always be sure to eat high quality food... Protein, veggies and fruit. Our bodies can hold less food and we need to get the nutrients from some where. I am not at goal and by no means am I THE expert... but I have researched and read as much as I can get my hands on.     Zumba anyone?

    I started doing Zumba at the local rec center at about 8 weeks out... love it!!! DH bought me Zumba for my wii for Christmas and it is great for a workout at home. You can choose between 3 different workout levels and between 20 and 45 minute workouts. and individual songs too..This gives me an opportunity to grab a quick workout even on the busiest of days. I highly recommend it!

    premier protein shake

    I drink at least one of the Premier Protein shakes a day. I really enjoy the vanilla mixed in with my coffee (remember if you are having trouble getting your fluids in to drink decaf).

    Protein Bars???

    I really like Pure Protein Bars. They have 20g of protein.... 180 calories.... 4.5g fat.....2g sugar.... 17g carbs They are very filling and make a good snack. Also... you can buy them at costco and Sam's Club. Goodluck!
  20. At my seminar the psych said, " It isn't what you did, it is what you did, after you did what you did." In that vein, you did exactly what you should have done.... you recorded what you ate, realized you had gone over your calorie goal, and then realized you needed to make adjustments. Good for you!!!     What brand of yogurt

    Carbmaster yogurt from Kroger has several new flavors, several of them are very good. Weighing in at 80 calories, 4 carbs, 1.5g of fat, and 12g of protein, it is the best choice I have found nutritionally. While I do not like all the flavors, I have found several that I really enjoy.   25. I had Aetna also, and I only went to my Dr's nutritionist and she kept track of my exercise/diet and weight for 3 months. That was all. My paperwork was sent in on a Friday afternoon and I had an approval by the next Monday. Good luck. Av
