SN......................SW...........CW........GW..........kgs to go Plumptious............73kgs.......72kgs....63kgs.....9kgs (19.8lbs) I've been mucking about the last 2 weeks, so have only lost 1kg in that time - but it's Monday morning and time to refocus if I'm going to lose anywhere near 9kgs in the next 8 weeks!! On the other hand it's good to know that I can still lose even when I'm not being that "good"... bodes well for maintaining when I reach my goal (woohoo!!) -
Yippeeeeee - that must be a huge boost to your motivation and confidence!!

Does size really matter?

I've been knocking back a horse-pill multivite since week 4 post-op, no problems (when I remember to take it, that is) -
Almost at 1 month... only lost 20 lbs!
Plumpy replied to Sarah S's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 6 weeks out today and have lost 8kgs (17.6lbs) as of this morning - am pretty happy with that. I'm hoping for a steady 1kg (2.2lbs) a week to get me to my goal. I sit here with my mouth open in shock when I see what some people lose in their first month, but I know that has never been the way the weight comes off me- so that's unlikely to change now. Just keep doing the right things, keep living your life and one day you'll be at goal. The scale is only part of life, don't forget -
Easter Sunday - WHAT WILL YOU WEIGH???

Updating SN..................Starting Wt.......Current......Goal......Lbs to Goal Plumptious ...........84kgs ............74 kgs........75kgs.....under goal by 1kg (2.2lbs) Only 3kgs (6.6lbs) to go until I'm out of the obese category- aiming for that by my 2 month surgiversary on May 1st. Fingers crossed!!!! 6 weeks today since my op, so I am allowed to start doing some exercises - thought I'd try to do something with the non-existent tummy muscles. I used to be able to hold myself in a plank for several minutes at a time, but I don't think I'd make 10 seconds right now. I'll be working on it though!! Edited to add - ok, just went and tried out the plank - I made 15 seconds before collapsing on the floor...... pathetic, lol -

I had surgery on the same day as you and have lost 7kgs (15.4lbs) and am happy as a clam about it. If I can lose a kg a week (2.2lbs) every week, then a few months will pass by and I'll find myself at my goal weight. You'll get there too - we just have to be patient, do the right things and our wonderful wee tummies will do the rest. -

Plumptious does the happy dance - Easter goal hit and 2&1/2 weeks to spare!!! SN..................Starting Wt.......Current......Goal......Lbs to Goal Plumptious ...........84kgs ............75 kgs........75kgs........ 0 !!!! Now for my next goal - I want to be under 70kgs by the time I fly to visit friends at the end of May - so 6kgs (13.2 lbs) to lose in 7 weeks - I can do that with my wonderful new tummy ps - only 4kgs to go until I'm just "overweight" and no longer "obese" - woohooo!!! -

One Month Since Surgery
Plumpy replied to Amanda131's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
WOW what a great weight loss!! I'm a month out too, but have only lost 6kgs (which is just over 13lbs) but I lost a fair bit before surgery so am actually about halfway to my goal. It fascinates me as well to see how things have changed - the volume of food I could pack in before surgery was pretty piggy really (well I didn't get overweight by having a delicate appetite!) and I'm so happy to be full on a small portion. One egg and I'm stuffed full...... from someone who could eat a 3 egg cheese and vege omelette and be lining up for toast as well! I've never been a fast loser, but at least it seems achievable now without feeling deprived and "on a diet" - roll on (or off!) the next 20kgs -
