I Think I Finally Settled On My Maintence Weight...was That Hard For Anyone Else?
twoboysandagirl replied to twoboysandagirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks for the replies....I am trying to be good with where I am at...just not sure if this is the "sweet spot". I also started running which cause the scale to go up because muscle weighs more. -
I Think I Finally Settled On My Maintence Weight...was That Hard For Anyone Else?
twoboysandagirl posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It has taken me a long time to update my ticker because I got down to 115 but then bounced a bit up to 120 and seem to stay here.Which I felt guilty about. I felt like I did something wrong. But the truth is my hubby thinks I should go up to 130. I am happy with 120! So, here is the question...if you are in maintence, did you get to a low and then bounce a bit?Not back and forth bounces like 5 pound cushion, I am talking about lowest weight and then a weight you seem to have settled at now. I am months 16 out and while I am thrilled at everything this surgery has done for me I thought that I would have less worry at goal but now I find myself worrying that I will regain...Guess I need to just relax:) -
Is It Just Me?
twoboysandagirl replied to Cobrargc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yep, I felt that way too...but it does get better. I found that if I used a small cup (I use the bathroom cups 3ounce-5ounces) at a time it helped me a lot. I felt good about one cup at a time. It took me months to get to 64 ounces and just now at 16 months I can get 70 ounces a day. Give it time and take one ounce at a time... -
Low Blood Pressure Issues Since Surgery
twoboysandagirl replied to notsochubbybritneyspears's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes, that sounds familiar...but it kind of settled out when I stopped losing. On another topic... I am moving to Northern Virgina in a couple of months...do you have a group that meets in person? Most likely be living in stafford but looking for homes in Woodbridge too...would love some info on schools in the area from a real life person and not just stats on line. If you have any good advice for me I would love it! -
Unsupportive Husband Thinks Sleeve Wont Work
twoboysandagirl replied to melissamae99's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would sit down with him and read through this site...have him go with you to see your dr. I'm willing to bet (not knowing him-but hearing others posts about this same thing) his concerns have more to do with fear of things going wrong, or changes in you, or even what foods he will have to give up). Ask him to be honest with you about all the things he is thinking. Just keep talking about it! -
Thanks...how did I not catch that? It is corrected now.

Eating On The Move
twoboysandagirl replied to bellabbr's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
We stay at hampton inns all the time...they almost always serve a protein for breakfast, either eggs, or a meat of some sort. For lunch I often eat at Burger king, grilled in stead of fried like McD's. I sometim es eat a regular taco from del taco. I have fat secret app for my phone...when on the go it is wonderful for figuring out how manycarbs I have had. It helps make a decision for the next meal...OH my absolute favorite place to eat if we are going out to eat is Red robin...all the burgers can be low carb with lettuce instead of bun. I also take a small cooler lunchbox with me if I will be away from home all day and put pb and cheese sticks in it. -
Not At All What I Expected!
twoboysandagirl replied to adrimc26's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
At about week 3 I was furious...I actually blamed my husband and felt like he pushed me to have the surgery. I was really moodyand regreted my decision. But I spoke to a friend and got on VST and found out that my hormones were all wacked up because of the dump of estrogen from fat burning happening in my almost starving body. Once I had an answer I was able to deal and just move on. And a week later I apolozied to my husband and he forgave me! Things will get better:) Hang in there. -
I threw away all of my old water bottles pre-op. My thinking is that they are a straw and they hold air which you have to such in first so I didnt think I should use them.

No idea...curious now...gonna check back in when some others have posted. -
This morning I weigh less than my husband ( who happens to be a very in shape Marine). I have been chasing that goal for a long time. I also went from 226 to 174 and that means I past my goal of 175 and I get a new living room set!!!! Still havent bought any new clothes but I dont want to waste money. I would much rather wait until I hit my goal and buy LOTS of nice clothes.

5 Weeks Post Op And Feeling Bad. Am I Dehydrated?
twoboysandagirl replied to hope2Bfitand40's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Was the popsicle sugar free? What was in it? In my experience if it is something you ate the sick feeling is more immediate. I dont think you are dehydrated if you have been getting in that much fluid...I would think maybe you are just coming down with something. Take it easy and if you arent feeling better or symptoms are the same with no others (leading more like a cold or flu) than give the DR a call. Make sure to keep us post.
