Have you called to see if the results are in....most of them do not take 5 days for results do they. Maybe they just forgot to call you. I think they need to know you are still suffering....Sorry you have this pain...have your labs been good in the past? How is your diet? Are you taking you supplements? Keep us posted...I am worried about you.

Yep I remember the combo of those feelings too! Seems like one day I would just be so excited the next I would be scared to death and that continued until surgery day then I was amazingly calm. Look forward to hearing more about your journey.

My surgeon said that it would be a waste of my money. He said just using any kind of lotion will do the same thing. My scars are really not bad...my stretch marks are worse:(

Hello HoneyDue...I had surgery at NMCSD on Dec 6th. Dr. Gallus performed my surgery. The process (pre-op requirments) seemed long and unnecessary but now I see that I was very well prepared for the life changes that take place after surgery. The surgery its self went great and the care I recieved in the hospital was great. Because this is not a bariatric center I did find that some staff didnt know how to care for me or what my needs specifically were; but I did my homework and knew exactly what to expect. For example the morning after surgery they brought me a regular meal tray with pancakes and eggs. I had to ask them to take it away and when my nurse came in I told her, she made sure I got the right diet from there on out. I stayed for 2 nights, three days but only because we live 3 hours away and the doctor wanted to be safe. I really like Dr. Gallus but DO NOT like his PA Romero. She has NO "bed side manners" and acts like her patients are a pain in her side. You are required to see her a lot but after a schedulling stunt she pulled on me I will not see her again and only see Dr. Gallus....that being said I am 6 months out and dont go back for 6 months. Any specific questions I can answer...please let me know. I would be happy to chat.

ok so you asked right? I have always had issues with constipation especially while prego. After surgery it HORRIBLE. Moved to a more regular pattern at about 4 months but still deal with it ocassionally.

I use Gold Standard 100% Whey...Delicious Strawberry from GNC. I usually spend about $30 for 32 servings but they have a discount card that you can get. It usually saves me money. Also they email coupons to me. If I bring in my cell phone with the email I dont have to even print it out. They also have great deals on line for the protein every once in a while. I have never ordered on line though...The thing about GNC over Vitamin World or others is if you dont like it you can exchange it no questions asked. Even if you tried it a few times. If you have their discount card you do not even have to keep your receipt they look it up by your card. Everyone's tastes are different so try as many as you can until you find one you like. The one I like mixed with skim milk tastes like strawberry Nestle Quick. It is best if it is very cold and I like to make it ahead and let it sit in the fridge...it dissolves better this way. i love taking pictures of my self in cute clothes...I dont buy often because I am waiting until I stop losing, but that doesnt stop me from trying them on. It is the best therapy out there. You look great! Can't wait to hear about your summer successes!

My hospital required someone in the waiting room...but I dont know if that is common. After I was in my hospital room (4 hours in ICU) they told my husband he didnt need to be there. Call the hospital and ask.

Makes me want to run to goodwill....it is so wise to shop at resale shop during your losing stage. It is such a waste of money to pay full price for a pair of pants or shirt that you will wear for maybe a month. You are a smart cookie.

I was pretty worried about loose skin too. At goal it is much better than it was a first. When I was losing fast I had a lot of sagging skin. When my weight loss slowed down I started to tighten up. I was not allowed to use weights or any high impact work outs until 4 months out. But I asked at every appointment. My surgeon just wanted to be careful that my stomach had time to completely heal. I walked until then. Now I am running and saving for a boflex:) Good luck to you.
