    Help! I'm Freaking Out!

I think for many of us this is VERY common before surgery. I felt this way and the strange thing was that I was so calm the morning of surgery. I spent a ton of time praying about my decision and then just tried to leave it in God's hands. Take a deep breath and spend some sweet time with your son.

    One Month Of Running And...

Love it!! I want to be a runner...I try (well I sorta try) I need to try harder. I ran my first 5K in Sept and havent run much since. I want to set a goal for this year in miles...Not sure what it will be but I want to eventually work up to a marathon.

    Eggs

I am one year out and it makes me physically sick if I drink to soon after eating. And it really depends on the food...salad goes through quicker than lets say a dense protein like steak or chicken or ground beef. I had 1 egg and 1 slice of bacon and 1 piece of toast for dinner tonight and I was full. I always eat my protein first. I remember when I first added eggs to my menu after surgery i was so excited I cooked 3 scrambled eggs and then laughed because I knew there was no way I could eat all that!

    Clothes Closet Nsv!

I had no idea what size I would need to buy and so I looked at the sizing chart on the back and it said I should wear a size "B" pantyhose, not Q, not 1x, 2x, etc... Wow, talk about an amazing feeling!!! I almost cried when I bought my first pair of post goal pany hose...I know exactly what you mean! Great job you are doing so wonderfully. Cant wait to read your GOAL post in a few short weeks.

    Infection :(

First I want to say.....Praise the Lord that you got someone to look at it and listen to you and now you are on meds and healing... Then I want to just say how wonderful it was that you let us all know what was going on. I am sure someone in you exact situation will read this and get their incision checked out. Thanks for keeping us all informed!!! Praying for a very quick recovery.

    Eggface Love It But

I use fat secret on my android phone...I can scan the ingredients and save them to my daily journal. It also saves it as recently eaten food for next time. Its quick and easy for me. I love the scan feature. Anything with a bar code:) It also has a lot ingredients already stored in a data base.

    Cant Have Surgery ;'(

Dont give up! Keep searching for other options...You know I was going to have a different wls and found out because of the surgeon I chose I would need to come up with a big chunk of cash...I almost gave up but I kept praying and God opened another door for me and I am so blessed to have had the sleeve. I will say a prayer that you will find a way to take care of your health one way or another. Blesssings to you.

You Can Gain Weight With The Sleeve

You can do it ! I believe in you ..(sounds corney but true) you can make your sleeve work for you..back to protein, protein... protein. Write every single thing you eat down or save it on a phone app (I love fat secret). work on your fluids andexercising and you wont have time to want those snacks.
  13. I've missed you all here on VST...pray you all have a very skinny New Year!!

  14. I've missed you all here on VST...pray you all have a very skinny New Year!!

  15. Sonja- You are doing wonderfully! How can anyone miss the changes!!!!!!
  16. I am one year out and just had my first stomach bug since being sleeved. It totally kicked my butt. I almost passed out at one point, sure from lack of fluids. Two of my kids had the bug too but they didn't get as sick as I did... SO I am wondering, did it hit me so hard because I am sporting a tiny stomach? Anyone?
  17. God knew what you were going through and He has been your true friend through all of your trials. He has called you through all of that to get you to where you are right now. He knows where you will be in the future and His plan is GOOD. You no longer have to survive you get to live for Him.. I am sure He is using that very blog to speak to someone today. Thank you for living for HIM. Blessings
  18. I suffered from dizziness for months after surgery and it was ALWAYS worse when I didnt get in enough fluids that day or the day before. Try to increase your fluids and see if you feel better.
  19. I will say a prayer now. Clear liquids means you can see through them. I used protein shakes mixed with water not milk at first. I always recomend buying it from gnc or anywhere they let you return what you do not like. It is expensive and it can add up quickly when spend $35 dollars on protein and hate it.
  20. You look absolutely wonderful! Most people, I think, get to where they want to be and they disapear. You have been here to help everyone else along the way. What a blessing that is. Thank you for all the answered questions for me and all the other thousands of posts!
  21. I had my surgery at a military treatment facility and I was required to take two classes a total of 3 hours I believe. I had to take and pass a test over the material. It was very easy so I wouldnt sweet it. For me the class was over all three surgeries they perform so I had to know stuff about a band and by pass even though I was having a sleeve. I hate that their is an added fee for you:(
  22. I had lots of dreams...mostly of eating or drinking things I shouldnt and using a straw..lol

    Nsv I Think?

That is funny:) Pants falling down is definatly a NSV!
  24. I was required to lose 10 and I ended up losing 20...over the course of 6 months...it wasnt all at once during pre-op. We had to lose 10% of excess body weight before they would schedule the surgery.
  25. I remember thinking the same thing when I posted my starting weight! I can't believe I just typed my weight!! Yes, the weight I will NEVER be again!!! But you will never have to type that again (except when you are celebrating how far you've come!)
