    i finally understand!!!!!

I agree with you 100 %... in my younger and smaller years, I loved to work out... and I was fit! I used to get frustrated when I started to gain weight because I could not do the same amount of exercise.... not I am 50lb down and I can move again... I started to walk as soon as I could and as the weight slowly comes off... I do more and more! It is a great feeling to feel alive again... =]
  8. Hey you... congrats on and amazing transformation already.... you are looking, happy, healthy and hot ladyeeeeeeeeeeee!! Keep up the good work! xx

  11. Curtisj01, what a lovely NSV... I bet that felt really good...! Keep up the good work =]
  12. Hi Pam, Yea me too with the three meals and no Snacks ... I think I was told this to stop the habit of eating inbetween meals and therefore adress any grazing issues... I tend to stick to this 85-90% of the time. If I do have a snack it has been Protein based ie cheese, ham, etc but I am going to start to include some fruit and veggies now too! Your weight loss to date is amazing by the way.... congrats! =]
  13. Hey ... looks like Diva and I are on the same page as I am also 2lb down on my offical weigh day too.... double YEY!! I am nearly half way there and 6mths out... slow but sure wins the race ladies.... x

    band v sleeve

Hiya Gayci... I have the sleever and paid £8000 for it, it was probably the best money I have ever spent! I am in Wales btw!! I too, first looked into getting the band and went to an 'open evening' type thing where they showed all the options and the sleeve won hands down. I like the fact that it is permanenet; I feel like it is a commitment to myself and to my health that I can NEVER over eat again! The sleeve is a great tool to help you lose weight, there is no cheating ...lol... still gotta work it and make the right food choices. I am pretty much half way to goal now, and I am a SLOW loser..lol... It's all good!!

  16. I completely agree with this... I FEEL much lighter that I am and that I look... my health has definately improved! Mission One complete!! I am now aiming at being 'vain' and looking good in my clothes... Mission Two has commenced! x
  17. Hey Mini-me... great thread... I think you have done a brilliant job, your weight loss is amazing and so is your BMI... and you are 10lb under your goal weight... I am no where near maintance but I do understand why you are worried about gain! I am sure that you are gonna work it out, just as you did in your losing phase... good luck and HEY, what is a couple of cals over when your BMI is 20.1 ...lol =]
  18. Hey Divacakes, 100lb is brilliant... good for you!!! I did the 5 day pouch test with Chilo, and I agree with her... It has helped me refocus on what I should eat... the protein first rule works for fillling you up and then get the veggies in after... Good luck and keep us posted on your progress... we are all here for each other! =]
  19. Hey you.... my beautiful VSG friend... you gotta remember, we said we were going to be kind to ourselves... You help so many peeps on here... you listen, you give excellent advice and you have cheered me up sooooo many times over the last 6mths!!! You get those 'gigantic pants' on.. take two steps and watch 'em fall to the floor.... then have a lil chuckle. Something else I have been doing a lot lately, and in moments of frustration... looking at my before pic... honestly, even after 48lb loss... I look like a completely different person... that also makes me smile... so go on then, MAKE YOURSELF SMILE!! XXXXX

You don't need to lose weight...

Feedyoureye.... that is HYSTERICAL... I am literally giggling like a child here... I love that idea... I might just do that only with a lolly and my head..... IMAGINE!! She is lovely, and I think she would find it funny... I am glas we are on the same page...lol xx
  21. Hey Diva, I am defo gonna get some more veggies in! The large glass of water holds just under a pint... I try to drink 4 cos that is virtually equal to the 64oz we are supposed to have. On the days I go to the gym, it is usually more. My tea is 'normal' but the coffee is decaf! I really do understand why you are feeling frustrated... I feel that I am constantly in the same boat! A pound here and a pound there, nothing significant over the past several weeks... we just gotta stick together and ride the lows and highs out. We are sooooooooo going to do this, and yes, I want to get rid of the majority of my weight within the first year, but hey, I've got over 100lb to loose.... so what if it takes me longer!!!! Have you taken your own advice? Get the largest size trousers and tops out and try them on... the feel good factor will definately over shadow the slow weight loss... and remember 40olb in 4mths is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! As the British say, 'chin up ole bean!' ..lol... hugs Coops xx
  22. Hey... since Sat I 'think' ( I stopped tracking 'cos I was getting obssessed... not good for me) I am probably eating about 800 cals on average a day... yesterday I had... coffee with skim milk - splash of - and Protein powder x 3 tin of aspaaragus Soup slice of bacon - large - tablespoon of baked Beans pepperamani I drink tea and coffee with a splash of milk during the day... and 3-4 larger glasses of water! Today I had... coffee with skim milk - splash of - and proten powder x 3 SLice of wholemeal toast with Peanut Butter chicken, coleslaw and cucumber fajitas minus the wrap ... chicken, peppers and onion again, tea and coffee with skim milk, 3-4 glasses of Water does that seem ok... too much too little... I am starting to get a little confused! There is a part of me feels. that I should know this by now... but any advise would be great! x

You don't need to lose weight...

I really get where you are coming from here... As much as people are trying to be kind and supportive, it is still a tad bit stupid telling someone they look good for the 'sake' of it! At just over 6mths out, I am not even half way, very close, but not quite there... anyways, in work I continue to get lovely comments about how good I look and how healthy I look... Nice! I was speaking to a friend, who is really skinny; tiny, tiny, tiny lady who is also lovely... She commented on me weight loss, calling me the amazing shrinking lady and we both chuckled; I told her that I am frustrated 'cos I haven't hit my half way goal and she said 'Bloody hell Coops, you can't lose another 3+ stone, 'cos you'll have a skinny little body and a massive head!' Well that was a lesson in itself... yea, I can lose it cos there is fat to lose... so the moral of the story... just take the compliment and don't discuss where in the weight loss process I am!!
  25. Gotta ask... does anyone think that eating too little calories out impedes weight loss... I know this might sound a little silly, considering the point is to reduce intake! Since the New Year and finishing the pouch test, my intake has really reduced, remember I am over 6mths out now, and I was wondering if I should add a snack... I eat three times a day as per post op instructions... Any thoughts? x
