I use Fusion and take 2 chewable tabs a day. Eat my protien first and have atleast 3 protein shakes a week. First time I have had such good restriction that I have to drink water slower.
-
It has taken me 9 months to get in the green zone. Finally this week I reached it. But I decided even though the weightloss is slow it's still better than gaining. Even lost over the holidays.

Center Chest Pain.. Ouch!
TerriF replied to rachelcummings's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Does it happen right after you eat? I get that feeling if I get stuck or eat to much. -
Finally I have good restriction. 4 or 5 small bites and I am done. I have lost ok but now maybe I can drop that last 20.

I used Dr. Hoehn from The Bariatric Center of KC.

You will too......I am 55, my face looked like I had swallowed a basketball. But as I have lost the weight my face has really slimmed down but didn't sag. Exercise and a good moisturizer is the trick.....well and alittle makeup. I work at a Cosmetology school and we do microderm cheap. That helps keep the skin smooth and light therapy keeps it tight. Find one that does Esthetics and go for it.

Same thing happened to me today. I had a student graduating and her sister who had dropped out 6 months ago was at her graduation. She said to me "You look so different, why?" I laughed and said it's that 50 pounds I lost most likely!!!!

Hey don't feel bad I walk 4 miles everyday and have been stuck at this weight since Sept. I remember the head doctor telling me most people lose 40 to 50% of the weight they want to lose and would I be happy with that. I know I will get that last 20 off but it just might take awhile. This band has helped keep my eating in check.

I Backed Out Of My Lap Band Surgery!
TerriF replied to mztmom's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was you 6 months ago, I am going to tell you what my hubby said to me " Honey will you please stop worrying. You figured out how to get the money to have this surgery and if you need to have it removed you will figure that out too! Worrying won't get you anywhere!!!" He was so right, I picked an excellent doctor and follow the rules and haven't worried one second since the day I got that surgery. Here I am 50 lbs lighter spending all my (what if I need to have the band removed money) on new clothes.....lol You have nothing to fear but fear itself! I should have kept reading....congrats and keep us posted. -
Unsatisfied with the Lap Band surgery!!!!
TerriF replied to poopgirl's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I know you have had problems, but having lost 70lbs I would say your band has done it's job. It sounds like you need a good Dr. that can get you adjusted correct and then stay with him or her. -
I think your weightloss is great. I think the less one has to lose the slower the process and the closer you get to goal the harder it gets. But hey I am down 50 lbs in 6 months, I would never have done that on my own.

Have you reached a plateau???
TerriF replied to poopgirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went thru the same thing and finally went in and he did my fill under floro. Only added .75cc's but wow what a diffference it made. Down 4 pounds in about 4 days. Boy do I have to eat slow now.....found the sweet spot, atleast for awhile!!! -
Update: it has been 31/2 days since the fill with floro and have dropped 4lbs. I couldn't get that darn scale to move for the last 8 weeks no matter what I did. I will say that I have to eat really slow now, so slow I finally give up as I lose interest. Who knew chewing was such great exercise. I have gone back to my protein shakes once a day to make sure I am getting enough protein.
